How is the work life balance in Citi?
Here is the scenario: Have 2 offers from IT MNCs and 1 from Citi. Citi's offer is the highest. Almost 5 lakhs diff in the fixed component. Although money is important, but I am also seeking a little balance with life. I was previously in ZS Associates and to be frank, life was hell. I am not looking to relive that phase again.
What are the daily actual working hours?
Shall I join Citi or let go it for a lower package offer?
Seeking honest advice here.

There is flexibility and it can be a great life. I’ve worked the worse and am currently at a spot I love. A big factor in making this work is how good you are at interviewing but more importantly what you look out for in a company. For example if companies aren’t stating a growth path, saying “we’re a family/work hard play hard” etc. or any sports or combat mantra, it’s probably not a great place to work. If your company has their shit in order, you’ll have a slow onboarding process, given a *good* territory, pays well, marketing has inbounds coming in and you have a great tech stack to streamline your job (look for Groove/SalesLoft, those are really good). You can find all of this during this interview process. Also if a company says they want you to make 100+ dials, they likely have a spray and pray method/not the best product. Other better quality companies have a 50-60 dial expectation which is usually coupled with a strong market strategy and they already know who they want. Just my two cents

Can you pick up the phone and dial ALL DAY?
If you can make 70-100+ calls a day you will be fine. Also you have to comfortable with rejection
Most of that depends on business but yes as a BDR you are spending a lot of time cold calling and building good opportunities for the AEs/closers. Some companies will have inbound-only philosophy, others will only give inbound leads to proven BDRs with the expectation that everyone is doing outbound as well, most I would say are somewhere in the middle of that. Get ready for ghosts, gatekeepers, hang ups, difficult questions etc. and for gods sake be able to explain why you’re calling in 5-7 seconds without stumbling should you get someone with authority on the phone.
