If there’s no video I recommend that you stand while you talk. It helps with energy level.
Aggressive power poses through the whole call
Do a shot first. It’ll make you more relaxed and they can’t smell it on your breath.
Take a hit too. It’ll allow you to express yourself.
Make sure you have enthusiasm in your voice. They can’t see your body language so you have to communicate interest another way.
Be deliberate about pausing between points so it doesn’t feel like a one sided conversation. Talk in sound bites. Ask questions back so you’re not the only one talking.

Have your resume printed out and handy for quick reference. And yes, I totally have cue cards
Laugh, a lot and loudly! Don’t be afraid to ask if they heard you laugh.

Smile. They’ll hear it in your voice.
Pick one place to look. Like out a window. That way you won’t lose your train of thought. Don’t pace or walk around, your breathing will sound weird.
Stand up. Sometimes I even get “dressed up.” Just cus you’re at home doesn’t mean you gotta be in your PJs.
Knowing when to start and stop speaking is a bit trickier because you don’t have visual cues or body language. Plus there’s a little lag no matter how good your network. So just be mindful of that — that you might step on each other’s sentences. In that case just apologize and say something like “go ahead” to let the other person finish.
Ask if they use Skype or video conferencing.
Take it from home (or wherever you feel most relaxed and comfortable) if you can.
Do it in a quiet place.
Have questions (and backup questions) ready—-they go by a lot faster than you think.
Show your strategy smarts, do good research and ask smart question based on them
