Trying to figure out discipline for my 8 year old. He was caught swearing at a friends house during a play date. He didn’t seem very apologetic when talked to, so we grounded him for the weekend - no electronics, no play dates. Just his books and soccer. We still spend time with him (want to make sure he understands we love him, and mistakes happen). Now, he says he is really enjoying his punishment and doesn’t mind being this way. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Have you ever been or currently in a relationship with someone of who’s political beliefs conflict with your own?

Not dealing with this currently have dealt with it in the past. My parents started out opposites but now believe similarly. I’m wondering if it is possible in this day and age.

Just found out that my favorite aunt, who claimed I was her “favorite” niece, chose to leave all her valuables to her other two nieces who never visited or called her once in the last ten years. My aunt passed away suffering from cancer last year and didn’t have her own kids. I was there by her side throughout her battle. I still wish I had done more, made her life easier. I probably sound petty, but a part of me is forcing me to re-evaluate every interaction I ever had with her.

Anyone have any similar experience or insight? My boyfriend asked for space/not really together anymore and he says he started to become nervous about being in a long term committed relationship. Even tho he said he saw me as long term & I’m his best friend and he loves me but why then? Does space help you guys figure it out? (Help / advice please😞)

Are the ideas that hit you right away ever better than the ideas that come through hours of banging your head against the wall with your partner?

My friend’s ex is trying to win her back and she hates being single and like I ~should~ discourage this, but on a selfish level I want to be able to go out on his boat again this summer. He’s not a particularly horrible guy, but they’re a bad match when it comes to values/goals, which is why it didn’t work out the last time.
