Vanguard or Fidelity if I want to have all my investments in one portfolio? My 401K is with Fidelity and my Roth IRA + personal brokerage is with Vanguard. Any recs?

Need some suggestions: My current company is on a layoff spree and 2 rounds are already done and I can foresee another round coming very soon.

While I am trying to switch to other companies, I’m not able to reveal the real reason from my side for the job change, as if I say, it’s because of layoff fears than it’ll reduce my negotiation power.

What other reasons can I give as I’ve just completed 9 months here and it’s too soon for any other company to take me in.
