Boomer. I am in between jobs. Laid off in 10/21 after 16+ yrs, with an ABA firm. RIF. Still on excellent terms. Took my time living off generous package and didn’t seriously start applying until 01/22. Made a rookie mistake and accepted first offer.
Turns out job wasn’t as advertised. Mutual parting of ways 3/22. Due diligence is critical.
Now interviewing a LOT. Some temp work, I still have “it”. I relate to all gens. Willing to mentor AND learn from all. Tech savvy, CTE from day one. Leads?

Currently, in accenture. I have had very bad billable hours and not much achievement this fiscal year. I am worried of getting fired, so i applied for another job. Got offered may be 5% above my current pay with 5k bonus, but in lower level at Deloitte. I think working lower level will give me more opportunities to learn as i think i have lot to learn. I made decision based on my gut and accepted the offer. I have not talked to anyone on accenture side yet. What you think?

Have an interview with a company I really want to work for tomorrow. My last job I was laid off b/c of an acquisition&recently accepted a job at a diff company b/c I couldnt afford not to. I got this invite shortly after. The place I’m interviewing at the job wouldn’t start til next year. I dont want to seem like a job hopper. Do i tell them I’m at a new role or just not bring it up? I’m so bad at writing the background/ facts section for briefs… it always gets heavily edited and no one is giving me constructive feedback other than “advocate more”. In contrast, my legal argument section is generally without edits. For context, first defense lit job post appellate clerkship. Is this normal?? Any tips for getting better other than “advocating more”?
