Hello all,
Would like to know specifically about Queer inclusion at SocGen Societe Generale. What is the attitude of mangers and HRs towards treating LGBTQ identifying candidates? Is company really inclusive or it’s just a lip service? Considering an offer with the company but being an out and proud Queer woman, super anxious and concerned.

Wanna go to a meeting together in 4 hours?
Thank you for the offer!! wish I saw this earlier!! Would have liked to have gone together. I basicallyyy spent the day using the last of my stash and I feel disgusted with myself and horrible. I’m taking off from work tomorrow for the comedown. I took off today too b/c there was no way I could make it to work and not be noticed I’m high. I need to get sober and o finished my stash and that’s it so no more. Tomorrow is a new day for me. I really do need to go to a meeting. I’m just a shy person which makes it hard. I need to get out of my house, and sleep. I’ve been up way too long. Sorry for rambling. I’d like to go next time.
You can do it.
One day at a time my friend. Don’t use today. That will be success.
Keep us posted. We’re here for you.
Not the greatest, especially with COVID-19. Hanging in. The cravings have been bad. How is everyone doing during this time?

@OP At their most basic level, 12 step programs are recovery programs that are essentially built around the idea of addicts and alcoholics working together to keep each other sober. It’s sort of like a self help program aimed at helping people develop a new way of life that doesn’t include drugs and alcohol. And not to freak you out, but there is usually a spiritual aspect to the program....Though I’m an atheist and I still get a lot out of it...I just sort of take what I need and leave the rest.
A lot of the work in a 12 steps is based on a program of continuous personal improvement. That’s really over simplifying it, but essentially you start off with a realization that you’re powerless to your addiction and that your life is unmanageable. Then you start working with another addict through a program of self reflection and spiritual development. That person is called a sponsor.
The whole process is centered around the idea that selfishness and other personal shortcomings lead us to act in ways that are harmful to ourselves and others. Through the steps, you work to identify those things with an eye towards developing a new way of living that allows you to address and move beyond those defects of character.
Eventually, you also end up making amends to the people you’ve harmed. Basically, to the best of your ability, you try to make things right with the people in your life that you’ve wronged. That comes way later.
After that, you just continue to use this new approach to stay sober and navigate life’s challenges.
It can be scary at first. But, I’ll tell you that if you never want to use again, there is a way forward. You don’t have to do it alone. I know for me, my life has just continually gotten better. Sometimes it happened quickly and sometimes it happened slowly, but I’ve always been able to keep moving forward. This may sound pretty cliche, but my life today is more than I ever thought possible14 years ago. It’s really amazing.
