Well it finally happened. We're officially being forced back into the office 3 days a week. So now I can waste 3 hours of my day commuting so I can sit in a cubicle on Zoom calls instead of sitting on them at my house. There is literally no reason for this. They keep saying it's better for us to collaborate in person but 2/3 of the company is being outsourced to India anyhow. 🤦‍♀️

Anyone that is WFH but rents a small office space to work from?

I don't want to have to go to an office with coworkers, but I do feel like I'd be more productive getting out of home office a couple of days per week.

People who are happy that the office is dead should reconsider. If the office is dead wouldn't that mean more outsourcing and less TC forward? Isn't it short sighted to think jobs will stay in the US if they are remote considering how expensive it is to hire here?

This is to inform that I have been selected in Amdocs as software developer for pune, my current ctc is 13.4 with total 6 years of IT experience in my home city.

In HR call asked for 20 LPA, should have gone

for bigger number than this or this ctc is ok.

Also does Amdoc offer wfh?, as HR says till december only wfh is there, after that office will begin.

I will be joining IBM next week in Bangalore ( physical onboarding ) and my hometown is in West bengal , My father is having health problems , mother won't be able to handle everything and no such person we can rely on . Also I am getting married in January . Hence If i stay in Bangalore there will be no one to take responsibility for my marriage prep also . If i convey to my ibm manager will they consider for 4months of WFH?Any documents may have to show?

It’s looking like my job is gonna start asking us to return to the office. We have an open office plan and before we wfh FT I would save all my work for my telework days bc I can’t get shit done in the office. I’m having major anxiety about them making this decision. What holiday party did you get?
Anyone living close to an office, got a holiday party with food and drinks, and the venue started open for them until around midnight. Our remote workers got a one hour party w a DJ and trivia that let you win gift cards. Yeah it was nice to win a gift card but I found it lame in comparison to hanging out with my team in real life.

Has your company stated anything about training in-person employees to better work with and include remote team members as your company goes back to having some employees in office? Mine says they will but I’ll still a little worried.
