Well, it was time! Only been a week since we said goodbye to our chocolate Lab Lacey & I already miss her so much! This was one of the hardest things I’ve had to do. Feels like there's a hole in my stomach & the house feels so empty & quiet. Can’t eat & all I do is cry. Everywhere I look, go, do in the house reminds me of her. I know she's not suffering anymore & vet said we did the right thing but how do I get over this empty feeling of missing a dog that was such a part of our everyday lives?

Hi
I really understand what you are going through 😭our beautiful girl, had to be PTS 6 weeks ago, 10 days after diagnosis for a brain tumour, life is so empty without her, wish I could have saved her, but nothing could be done, she was perfect, in all ways, nothing will fill that gap😔 I just try and remember all the fun times, and how much we did with her, wherever we went, she came to.
It doesn't take the pain away, but it helps focusing on the good times X take care

I don't think you ever get over losing them I think you just move on. No matter what it always hurts. But the best remedy is to love another pet. They would want that for you to, they don't want to see you suffer and grieving.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I definitely know how hard it is. It's just been since 10/3/24 that I said goodbye to my sweet boy. 🌈

It does get better, I promise, but it takes time. And then sometimes it gets hard again. But after a while you will focus more on find memories and funny stories and less on feeling sad. It just takes time. I wish I could speed it up for you. 💛

Sending ❤️. I can tell Lacey had a great life and lots of love.

So sorry 🩷 been there. It takes time to grieve. My mom is the type to get another dog to fill that void but it takes me years personally. Either way, it takes time.

Hey there! I absolutely feel for you. That hurts. I’ve often thought about what I’d do if I lost my dogs, not happily lol. My boys are rescues. It’s been quite a dream of mine to foster dogs. For example I like to volunteer for Underdog Pet Rescue who are a foster based rescue. So the animals are living with volunteers in there homes while waiting to find their forever homes. They have their own vet clinic. I know that my boys are not currently ready for company but the thought of being able to help out their fellow dogs and that being something they’d be happy for me to do with their belongings and empty space. Really provides assistance with those thoughts of guilt for replacing them and really helps the healing process.

Some people get another dog to bring in new joy during a time of grief.

We couldn't do that personally. We decided to wait, especially to give ourselves a break as our senior had required substantial care. Now we're open to the idea of another but not in any rush.

I know what you're going through, I had a Terrian Yorkie for 10 years she developed a mammary tumor on her bottom nipple 2 surgeries and they kept coming back only to paralyze her from the back down and one front paw so I had to put her down she was my best friend and I still miss her till the day it's been 2 years come next April. What people don't realize is they have souls and spirits also they just come back in a different form, she was my best friend. Sorry for your lost as well. Asking God to keep you under his Protective Wings Always.

Thank you so much. I'm so sorry for your loss as well. It was hard for us too this first Christmas without her. She used to love opening her presents. I know we all have to think of the good and funny times with our lossed furry babies and that they aren't suffering anymore; but nothing feels the same. Everywhere we go or do was with her. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this hard time.

So sorry for your loss

The man I love is now married to someone else. He was my best friend since university (were now in early 30s), we never pursued anything romantically (was too scared to tell him) and now he’s married to someone else and they have a baby girl. I went to see them and they have this perfect home and family. His wife is perfect, pretty & young and smart. I’m still single. I want to be happy for him but I was so jealous and sad and felt like crap. I can never tell him. Just had to let it out. :((

Has anyone actually found love at work? My best friend started at a new company 6 months ago and she just took an offer somewhere else because she and her senior manager fell for each other. After 6 months she knew it was worth leaving her job for! My SO adds very little to our relationship. She has a dead end job. I cook. I work. I oversee finances. I plan trips. She doesn’t have a voice in the relationship. I’ve asked her to give her perspective but she always defaults to mine bc she thinks I’m smarter/worldly. She feels intimated by me and my social circle. Lately, I’ve found myself thinking for her. Anticipating her wants and needs and then adjusting my behavior to meet them. Which she appreciates but it’s frustrating 29M 27F

Hi,
Need some advice. My pet had been eating his kebble food on a consistent basis. Then I introduced a bit of raw chicken into his kebble and loved having it even more. But now I'm realizing that if I don't add chicken, he just doesn't eat his regular kebble food. What should I do? (Don't want to feed chicken every day)
