What are some of the best exit opportunities available for someone leaving public as tax manager 1?

So I’m trying to move into a TA manager role and having zero luck trying to get an interview with any company I apply. I have 11 years in Recruiting, 2 of which was managing a team of Recruiters at a large national staffing company. It seems impossible to make the move up. Anyone who has made that move, while switching companies, have any suggestions?

Just got an update from recruiter that they want to have 2 additional interviews for technical judgement. She mentioned that my onsite interview (pgm, big data and analytics) feedback was great and these new interviews are to push my case to TPM roles as well, is this common ?
Also, is it recruiter's best interest to get the candidate a good offer or they will try to lowball always? She mentioned I am being considered for L4 (total 14+ yrs of exp) and the comp numbers are not great!

I’m a senior manager. I really had to do a lot of work this season. My bosses were not cc on a lot of things I did. They both sent me a thank you note after busy season. I have to request a review. Would it look bad if I emailed them a list of everything I did, when a send a review? Basically I took over an account and the people who left, left it in a complete mess. I had to build up a brand new team, had to learn a sofware, and to deal with the repercussions of messy work going to other teams.

Started in tax full time last year. I’m feeling very unfulfilled and unhappy with my decision. The hours are LONG and the pay is not what I thought it would be. I’m trying to stay positive but I’m truly dying inside and out and no one cares. I have no CPA or masters. If I leave any idea what kind of options there are out there or how to market myself. I think I’m a personable person and I good worker but I’m not sure people will look past not having CPA coming from PA. Thoughts?

I’m a manager, cpa, in my mid 30s. I’m considering doing something else. Like completely changing my career, I feel like there’s better things to do than stare at a screen and hope you get put on good engagements. I kinda want to go into graphic design or write code. Idk 🤷‍♀️ I’m just scared at 37 I’m too old to be sucessful in something else and actually learn something completely different.
