If you have cash that you want to invest. Please consider Treasury Series I Savings Bond (Electronic). Interest is 7.12% right now. While it's not guaranteed that the 7.12% will remain until next year, it's still a good deal.
My SO and I just invested 20k (10k max per person even married).

About to get rid of my 09 Infiniti G37 which I’ve owned since 09. Not having a car payment is awesome, but the prospect of repair costs kicking in is making me think it’s time. Probably getting a 1-2 yr old certified BMW 3 series...the loaner cars seem like the best way to go.
Although I get all the points made against buying/leasing an expensive luxury/sports car, I think if you enjoy driving then absolutely get the best you can afford. Not every decision in life has to make longterm economical sense, if that was the case we would stop taking vacations as well and invest that money. I enjoy driving, I'm trading in my 3 series for an M4, I'll be taking that car on track pretty regularly, and the noise from that car's exhaust is enough to drown out all the nay sayers 😉
2014 rav4
I beg to differ, Land Cruiser is the best car ever. I buy cars and drive them til the wheels fall off, so buy something you like that doesn’t kill your monthly budget
2014 prius.
100k civic NyC 😔
2018 stelvio, it’s a cheap lease
$200k base. I drive a Hyundai
Nissan 2017 I got used for $17k at 8k miles. It was a dealership auction that got moved to a car resale startup. Retailed at 31k. I make 120k. Best deal I’ve had on a car and LOVE IT 👌
$125k, leasing a 3 series, thinking about getting into an M4 once the lease ends in 2 months. I live in FL and keeping up with the Jonses and Santiagos is the Florida way. btw I have a kid and no college savings. Here's to 305.
isn't Guilia plagued with mechanical and electrical faults? on paper it looks like a solid car, but I dont want to live at the service center
I should mention my kids will be driving soon so I may get something for them. Strange though that they are not super excited about driving regularly. But they are really into cars. Specs, track, etc.
$170k, I recently bought a Mazda CX-9 for a family of 6 and love it!
$270K household. Own Acura RDX and Honda Civic. Monthly payments $900. Both should be good for next 8-10 yrs.
2007 Civic, 83k
Bought a brand new car this year. Mazda’s CX-5. Family income is $300k. Paid all cash
92K, 2015 Audi A3. Bought pre-owned 2 years ago for 24K, 3 years left on payments.
Sportback. That’s what intrigues me. Convenience, without compromising on driving enjoyment. The sportback reminds me of the functionality of my old 97 Integra!
What are people’s feeling on leasing overall? I’m seeing mixed things
Dang. Well you do have a 2011 car it's old with age not milage.
$120k, 2008 rav4
$75K, fully loaded 2018 VW Passat SEL leased for $390/mo with $0 down. I thought it would be silly to go for a lesser-equipped Audi at the same price
146k, 2010 Prius, and about 85k mikes
I'm a big fan of not having a car payment, it's worked in my favor so far, even with maintenance costs factored in.
Brand new car due to high depreciation hit in earlier years is a bad use for your money, that's given. I only do it because I love cars. That being said, with car loans at sub 3% I don't understand why anyone would pay for car in all cash. Where else would you get cheaper money? except mortgage maybe.
