Fail upwards
In the Meta verse.
Get fired then complain endlessly on LinkedIn and land a better gig elsewhere.
Strategists and Account folk have been watching their friends in Creative get laid off and take it on the chin for years and shown zero sympathy. Suddenly this year they can’t believe it’s happening to them too.
It’s primarily a sales role. Yes you are there to update the agency and team on new features and point them towards the formates and features that suit the campaign concept and objectives, but you’re job is to sell and up sell the product.
Rising Star
Unfortunately we all have sales jobs. Took me nearly 20 years to realize that. Account. Creative. Strategy. Production. Whatever. Our job is to sell shit to clients.
You just happen to work at an agency clients want to buy from.
Having worked with some in partnership, the creative strategists put together tailored decks for their advertising clients, using best practice and case studies to educate them on what would work best for our client, based on their industries. They’re also there to support any campaign development and give suggestions on what ad formats would work best and offer ideas on how to best execute them creatively.
So they lean toward strategist/digital marketers than creatives?
