I said my name and team, then stopped for the next person to go…everyone stayed silent for a bit because they expected more, and they looked like they thought I disconnected lol 😭

Anyone deal with this before: I inherited a severely under developed team including a sr analyst who clearly was doing the bare minimum, if that. Over the last 6 months I have had to coach him and correct simple mistakes in his work and recently it got so bad that I told him he would receive a low rating in his evaluation. He lashed out, involved HR saying he doesn’t understand why, and now my review points out stuff that I would have let slide.

I currently have my EAD based on my OPT with an addition 2 year renewal. I have also submitted a marriage based GC application in Nov 2021, did my biometrics currently waiting on my interview. I have an offer from a tech company and want to leave my current employer. I am worried if I tell my upcoming employer about being currently on OPT they will freak out and take back their offer even doh I can work and don’t need their sponsorship.

I’m have a new theory about why juniors always feel like idiots and wanted to see if anyone else thinks this makes sense. I just got a job with Delta airlines and I had an accomodation request to work remotely as I am Immunocompromised. I provided all the neccesary documents to back up my request and letters and documents from my Dr. aswell. My request was denied because the team said they wanted me to have face time and one on one interactions with people from other team (which defeats the purpose of my request) because I have to limit those interactions to reduce the risk of infection.
