^arent you EY1?
SM
Eiffel tower position.
So at EY it goes staff-senior-M-SM-PPED. but for the sake of discussion lets consider pp different than ED (because it is). My opinion - I think manager. Staff and senior can get away with things and don't have sales targets. managers have all the duties of a senior and a lot more expectation. They still have to deal with a bunch of SMs and PPEDs too so they can't always own the project/work the way they want to but then they get shit on if it goes bad (I am a senior by the way so this is my observation from my level)
SM for sure. Work your ass off without the equity. Whenever junior staff leave the meeting, shit gets serious. When Manager leaves and only SM and PPED, shit hits the fan. People telling each other to go fuck themselves.
Senior
Senior in any firm, I think
If you re a good manager all that you listed above can be thrown out the window
I feel like you can't really get rid of a partner or ED who comes in unannounced, has little understanding of the actual work being done and then changes everything up in order to put their stamp on it. Just my 2 cents though.
Sorry and if you could explain as well it would be appreciated. Thanks!
Explain please EY1
Title vs Company
2 EY1s
Sorry, thanks.
Senior Manager... One step before partner
^
If say manager is the most work and stress
If you are good at what you do, you only need to listen to the Ps and don't need to take shit from the SMs as they need you on their team (relative to junior staff) and the Ps decide your compensation/promotion/etc.
I'd have to say Snr Mgr, you have to deal with sales and utilization pressure and manage multiple programs simultaneously. I'm a mgr and don't have an issue because I'm able to actually execute where needed in addition to delegate. Snr Mgrs don't really have the time to execute if shit starts hitting the fan so you're much more dependent on your teams for execution.
