What is your corporate insurance coverage for routine maternity? Is $5k enough for private OB in Sydney?

Cant comment on corp insurance as it varies from company to company, but private OB incl. hospital coverage will cost around $15k for delivery (experience from north shore private)

If you don't mind, can you share what drove you to opt for delivery in a private hospital?

I will be moving to Sydney next year, and potentially starting a family. Just wondering how much budget I would need to factor in for maternity related medical expenses. I currently have amazing insurance coverage which has definitely raised my standards of what I expect from hospitals, but will loose that when I move jobs.

Similar to you, I’ve been going to private healthcare before moving to Sydney. Now i realized that private healthcare cost in Australia is much higher than other countries i’ve been to.

Being quoted $8k just for private OB, excluding hospital expenses

Cant comment much since i didnt explore public, which now i feel i should if i have enough time

What type of food do you all feed your fur babies? I have a very picky eater, and doesn’t like hard food/treats. He’s at an ideal weight, and I’ve been making homemade food to mix in with his kibble, but not sure if that’s the best thing to do for his nutrition. I’ve tried wetting his food to make it softer, but he won’t touch it. Not sure if I should look into premade human grade food or continue making my own. Or using something else for his kibble. Any advice would be helpful! Thanks :)

I joined a new team and have noticed something off with my Director over the last months (slurring speech, no show to calls or even full days of work). I finally asked a colleague about it today because I’m concerned about my Director. She confirmed that she’s noticed the same over the last few years, but no one ever says anything. In confidence she told me she can often smell alcohol. How can I help? I feel helpless. I’ve already lost someone to addiction and I can’t ignore this. Any advice?
