Writing samples. What should I NOT use/do when applying as a lateral? Not big law. Am looking to lateral to a plaintiffs boutique from the defense side. I want to use a motion to compel as a sample but am worried it makes me look more aggressive than I am as a litigator (that specific case warranted a more aggressive approach). But it’s one of the few motions that I signed instead of my supervisor and has good legal analysis. Other tips appreciated.

FL peoples: I signed a lease for a new place to start May 1 as my current landlord sold the unit I'm in. Turns out, the buyer wants to keep renting the unit and asked if I want to stay. Of course I want to stay. My new lease hasn't started so I'm pretty sure I can easily back out. For the new lease, I'm still pending full approval from a condo association as I have to do an in person interview. I have paid first months rent in advance. Is there anyway to get that money back?
