10 years of ... what type of work exactly? Not being flippant, it matters hugely!
To give a frame of reference (not specifically SAP but comparable), people I currently work with include ...
1. Senior Manager, a little under 10 years on the job. Day job: runs a 18m pa portfolio of client contracts. Good at: getting stuff done, problem solving. Bad at: hard tech
2. Consultant. 20+ years on the job. Deep expertise on X topic. Day job: technical lead for a small team of 5. Good at: anything X topic tech. Bad at: anything involving commercials
3. Manager, ~15 years on the job. Day job: mixture of "technical at client, generally useful for internal boss". Good at: prioritising. Bad at: specialising
... all three are in the same practice and, in theory, were originally hired for similar things. All graduate hires. Took very different trajectories.
Personal take: SM "won" the race so far via a relentless can do attitude and utter refusal to admit defeat. M has found a sweet spot of "balancing". C is content with what C does and doesn't aspire to being M or SM.
OP, again, what experience precisely?
Pure implementation / "doing"? Conceptual work? Strategy development / advisory in the SAP space? Project management? Client Account / portfolio / other "overall" type level of responsibility?
It matters hugely? See examples in my previous post: 10 years could be anything from "Consultant" to "Senior Manager".
For Germany, specifically (having worked with that location before): they seem to have an above average preference for people speaking the local language (source: I don't actually speak German; was literally billed for less because of it).
