I’ve been referred by several friends but did not even get interviews. I was always able to get interviews before. Is it because the job postings are just fake now due to COVID? Or something is wrong with my resume?
Any firms that are hiring for insurance consultants in Los Angeles? I’m looking for a job and have insurance and IT background. Thanks!
First ever case interview for value creation consulting coming up next week - how would be best to prepare- interview is at a big 4? (Trying to make the switch from Audit)
It has been two weeks since I received a verbal offer as a lateral and I still haven’t gotten a written offer. In the meantime, I tried to negotiate my comp and heard crickets. Followed up with recruiting manager at the firm and did not hear back. Are they rescinding my offer before I can accept it? 😱😭 Does that ever happen?
Am I the only one weirded out by these mass spreadsheets of individuals who have been laid off? Is anyone really looking to these for hiring purposes?
Got promoted but planning to put in my notice. Will I still get the promotion bonus after 2 weeks? Or should I wait till oct 15...
What is the compensation offered by Deloitte in ISB during campus recruitment at consultant level?
I am a financial services consultant (non-Big 4) with a second round interview at Deloitte (three 45 min interviews back-to-back). I have never interviewed at a Big 4 before. Any advice?
I'm in final rounds w a large tech company (interview already scheduled), but I saw that the company just removed the job posting I'm applying for on their website. Does this mean they already selected a candidate and I'm wasting my time? Or does it mean they have enough candidate selection for the final round to where if I have an offer, I'm less able to negotiate since the company has a lot of back up candidates. First time leaving consulting so all of this is new to me.
Im a third year that applied for an L&E position with an AM100 firm. Didn’t graduate from a top 100 law school but I’ve had great experience working at top firms. Im requesting that I only come in to the office 2 days per week and do remote the remainder of the week (so I don’t have to move to the city and can just commute in those 2 days). Odds that I get the job?
I currently work at a very ”hyped” food delivery tech company. I’ve been there for 1,5 years now, but the pay is low, bad company culture and I don’t feel appreciated for the work I do. So i’m overall not to happy there, and looking for a new job. However every interview I’ve had so far ask why I want to leave such a ”great” company after less than 2 years? I don’t want to shittalk my job but it’s really makes me feel like i should stay another 6m just so I don’t look bad. What would you do?

Would you be honest or just put something like work life balance. I have worked with really shitty people. It would be several. Like base compensation, skills not fully utilized, firm culture, communication issues, etc

Is there anyone at Dropbox who is willing to give me a referral for a software engineer internship position next summer (2022)? Thanks in advance!
Suggestions on how to handle a Zoom interview? It will be with 3 partners at the same time (2 male founding partners and 1 female partner). I typically interview very well, but it's mostly bc I a fairly good at reading people which is a bit more difficult over Zoom. Also, any questions I should ask? I'm a 4th year and trying to lateral to a new firm with the same focus (cannabis litigation).
What does the Investor Relations career path look like for someone coming in at an early-ish level? I’ve heard it’s kind of dead-end and doesn’t really teach you any hard skills but pretty easy, especially if you can produce a decent track record of fundraising. Also, I’ve heard comp is ok and typically lower than consulting (and WAY lower than the investment teams…) and mostly concentrated among the top dogs. Accurate? Anyone know people who took this path?

Interviewing w/ IBM Watson Health... Anyone have feedback on the firm / direction? Curious about brand new CEO...firm has acquired a lot in healthcare recently, but also had major layoffs last year
Have anyone done contracting negotiations before? I've interviewed for co A & B and co A extended an offer today. The offer does not meet my current salary. Co B's interview structure is 3 rounds and I've finished my 2nd round today. The recruiter mentioned that since I am a contractor my current salary is incomparable as they will provide benefits, etc. Is this true? I have 2 yrs of contracting HR exp from fortunate 500 co’s & OMW to get my SHRM-CP. Appreciate your advice in advance.
Question. My younger brother is applying to a Top 5 business school. They contacted him a few days ago to provide his full work history (he had submitted a one pager with only his last two jobs) because they were evaluating his application. Since I am in consulting, he asked me if that was a good sign because he hasn’t received a rejection. I told him that not at all. That it was SOP and it’s been a few days. But I am older and disconnected from the college app world. I figured I’d ask here
I will be released from my current project. I am marked in FAFD. Need some tech mahindra projects referral. Current skill is SAP HCM.
Experienced hire here going into second year since joining without a promotion. Time to leave? I don't see the point of staying at this salary.
Interviewing for a Director role at a tech company in the southeast. Glassdoor shows director roles as anywhere from 90-140k right now. I would really like for the job to workout, but I can’t take...
Hope to learn more if you bought an apt in Manhattan, or if you decided against it (renting/moving to upstate/Long Island/Jersey). My husband and I are considering to have a baby soon and are thinking of buying and living in Manhattan for the next 10 years or so (looking at property under $2M). Please share what you considered as you were making the decision - I hate throwing away rent but also don’t want to trap ourselves in significant financial obligations. Thanks!
From reading this app. I realize we have it really well at EY. Deloitte doing major layoffs, KMPG has to come in at the crack of dawn, PwC well the hours..
Is it possible to get ‘general audit experience’ and attest hours from an industry job? I am trying to finish the experience requirement for both my CISA and CPA outside of B4
In a rapidly growing practice, and perhaps 2 years from (non-equity) “partnership”. I like my team and the work I do, but I’ve only ever been a consultant and am tempted to jump to industry to try it out. Interviewing for a Fortune 20 company and applying to others. Maybe FAANG. Let’s say I’m 60% driven by comp, 40% driven by impact. Am I crazy for looking to leave? Should I just continue to ride this one-way train?
Any parents work on the financial due diligence team at a B4? Interested in seeing how the hours are and if I can make it work with kids.
Guidehouse 🐠, what’s the salary range for a Senior Associate with the Business & IT Strategy group? Also, is a Senior Associate equal to a Deloitte SC?
Working as a manager in a big 4 in SF isn't enough. Having to pick up driving for Lyft on the weekends, against firm policy of having outside employment.
New to investing, but want to make sure I'm doing this correctly. I've maxed out my 401K and am looking to open an IRA. I know everyone recommends backdooring this into a Roth IRA, but if my plan is to move/retire to a state with no state income tax, wouldn't traditional make more sense? Or am I overthinking this? Also, if I go the backdoor route, how do I make sure I don't get taxed again, when i convert to a Roth? Thanks in advance!
We have been quarantining pretty well except for essential grocery runs. My in laws want to meet us. They are also doing grocery runs. Is it alright ? I am 36 week pregnant and my mil is diabetic.
