Do as much networking as you have time for, and then find more time to do more. Talk to alumni, and don't be shy about asking questions. And try to line up some solid recommendations. And let the people giving them know your goals so they can, ideally, make a good case for you.
Control what you can control, get good recommenders, be consistent with your narrative in your essays, and crush the gmat because and exceptional score can help outweigh a lower gpa or softer work history
Do it but don’t expect a guaranteed high paying job at the end of it. Come with a backup plan to possible go back to your old job (with hopefully a pay rise)
Make sure you understand your career aspirations and select an MBA that aligns with it (ie student organizations, number of alumni in the area you are targeting, etc.)
Also, only choose part-time if you just want to continue your current path and need an advanced degree.
Get an engineering masters degree and work in tech is my recommendation. But an MBA is a not a bad second choice
