Working late is one thing but I’d be declining that outside of core hours unless it was someone outside the uS
You work when you need to. Sometimes that means getting up ridiculously early or staying up really late, especially when you're working with people on another continent. It's not that big of a deal.
Some of us have figured out how to juggle a life and a career.
24/7 based on client and team needs. That's what we are paid for. Accounting doesn't sleep.

I would say around 10-11pm if I’m talking to someone in Australia.
It depends. Our firm introduced core hours for meetings that are 8:30-3 pm pacific. Our office is in CA but we have staff all over the country and abroad. Sometimes people have to take a meeting outside of those hours, but most of the time it’s within.
