My resume got shortlisted for Operations Associate/Engineer-Amazon Managed Services role. I am an experienced AWS engineer with 5YOE.I feel like this role will be degrading in nature for me. Is it worth joining for this position. I would love to join Amazon based on my experience and skill set. But Not to some position which doesn't require AWS experience.

Scored these on one of my latest hunts.

After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

Ad ops lmao we didn't even make the damn list
@CW1 on the agency side ad ops takes the creative assets and ensures their performance (impressions, clicks, conversions) can be tracked properly by creating "ad tags" which are snippets of code that site owners can use to serve the ad

The cleaning crew who come in sometimes as we’re leaving. I don’t speak Spanish fluently but I always make it a point of thanking them. I wish more people would acknowledge them.
Founder. Clients beat up their margins while their employees ask for raises. Job creation ain't easy.
Some real go-getters here.
Legal and compliance. Nothing happens without them but they are the most hated.
Resource managers. We don’t win awards, we don’t get positive client feedback, finance doesn’t thank us for saving their profit margins and no one thanks us for putting teams on projects... all we get is grief from every single department.
My skill set is already expanded, I develop the SOWs and staff plans for every brand (new business, incrementals, etc), hire freelancers, reallocate FTEs, maintain a margin of over 2.5 (60%), create business needs for opening full time staff roles/ promotions.....I’ve only ever worked in agencies with resource management as a specified department and PMs have to be promoted into RM. Maybe consumer is different.

Let me get in on this too 👋🏻 because no matter what we do we aren’t making enough or creative directing enough. The hardest job.

To whomever feels unthanked, know there is someone who appreciates you. It sucks not to hear it, but your job is valued. Otherwise it wouldn’t exist.
Personally, I’d like to thank the owners of my independent agency for keeping us employed in such a hard time. We got furloughed for a month (but were able to keep our healthcare benefits which is so huge). Everyone is pulling together and fighting to stay open for the long haul. Respect.

CEO role is thankless, like most others I’m sure. You win new business, grow revenue, and they move the goalposts. Also under constant criticism from teams. It comes with the territory so you just shut up and get on with it.
Oh, boo hoo 🤣

The big headline reading through this thread, —a headline which in a better world would be the front page of all of the advertising trade websites tomorrow—is that every single department and every single role in them feel underappreciated and unvalued. What does that tell us about the culture of advertising agencies? A toxic industry will lose. This is why talent in every department is running for client side as fast as they can. The chief executive officers, presidents, chief creative officers, and of course the holding company, need to start retraining, readjusting, and radically redoing how agencies work.
There's a reason why these jobs are in agencies: they aren't important enough to be in-house :)
Food for thought??
Makes sense.
Within the agency, account.

Account without a doubt.
All of the above and other positions. MOST thankless is the lack of respect for whatever one gives 100% to get the job done! My deceased wife, Bonnie, being one of them.
