I just started as 1st yr. I’m generally very high-strung and anxious, and I don’t think M&A is right for me. Is there any meaningful difference between m&a/cap market/general corp work and funds formation in terms of fire drills/unpredictability at junior level? My firm doesn’t really do funds formation work and it is a small group. Should I lateral after 1 yr?

Spouse & I need to live in a HCOL place for a couple years - min 2 years, up to 6 years - at 40 y.o. in order to grow our career & boost earning power. How do we manage housing cost that eats 1/3 of our pre-tax income? Sold our house in LCOL state and moved to the Bay area last year... Similar homes here are over a million dollars. But demand is so high to move to our suburb that renting costs just as much! Rented current place. Don't want to move our kids from their school every year.
