Where would you go? I’m just wrapping up a divorce that has sucked the life out of me. I’m 39, no kids, and looking for a fresh start. I have a decent remote job paying 112K. Not much in other savings vehicles thanks to divorce. Where would you go? I’m in Chicago right now and need a change of scenery. I’m fairly into nature/fitness so was thinking west coast, but that might be a stretch on my salary. Any ideas?

@technical architect. Life can be cruel. My wife developed a mental illness after knowing her for 12 years. Blew most of my money. I took a step down role from my 140k job to deal with everything.

Don’t shit on others when they’re down, you never know what your future holds.

Charlotte is nice and mcol

I lived there for many years. Nice place, good weather, enough to do to keep you occupied, centrally located between mountains and beach. Housing market not incredibly insane, but certainly bubblier than it used to be.

Great idea!

Why not bop around to different cities for the next 6 months until you find a city or place that you truly like. Airbnb for a few weeks or a month in each city. Take care of yourself OP!

South for some warm weather! Maybe Texas? Nashville? Not sure cost of living but prob cheaper than west coast.

Just based on what I’m reading, do Seattle

If increasing pay then yes, otherwise the surrounding Seattle area and dating scene is great for socially competent single guys.

Given cost of living though it’s a fair concern so Tacoma or Bellingham in that area may offer better value.

Denver is great. Lakes, skiing, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing. I love Boulder but it’s more expensive than other areas and has a homelessness issue. Lots of nice areas all over the metro area. And it’s a moderate blue state if that matters to you.

Does an MBA (US) make sense for me? Male, Indian, Age 32, Married working in tech consulting with 10 YOE. Base is $165 with steady increases and bonus is typically 15%. Hi, requesting guidance from PMs in this bowl.

I work as a Technology Consultant. Graduated from a Tier 1 B School in 2021. Currently, my skills include business and requirements analysis, and I also look after some internal product engineering and release management initiatives.

I wish to transition to a PM role in a product-centric company. I had taken relevant learnings in my MBA, but I don't have any prior PM experience. How do I make the switch? Thanks in advance for helping me out!

Hey guys, so I have competing offers. One at Bank of America for 124, and one at Allspring for 110.

Does anybody work at Allspring? They did not provide any information regarding benefits, 401k match, or any annual bonus structure. I was told, verbally, that the Bank of America bonus is something like 15 to 20%, but nothing in writing.

Just wondering if anyone has any knowledge about compensation structure at Allspring, or any opinions on the culture there. I would be in Charlotte.

Still I struggle. Should I try public interest? Not that I don’t need the money but it’s hard to work when I am so detached and find it meaningless

I have an offer and want to negotiate

1. London base salary but I have to absorb all the expenses (train + stay)
I am thinking to negotiate to

2. home base salary and have my expenses paid for

I know that's depends on the amount I have to travel (and potentially stay) but at the moment this is unknown. Past 8 months was just twice a month + 2 nights stay.

The only thing I know is it won't be every week, the return trian ticket is about £80-100, depends I could plan ahead.

MasterCard as Senior BizOps or Netcracket as Business Analyst ?
Which one should I choose - both CTC are almost same.

My current Fixed CTC in Citi is 26.5 excluding PF and Retrials and HSBC IT has offered me 30.5 for the same and said they cannot increase further as am moving jobs in after 9 months which is too early..
