Will slalom do layoffs or do they have ample reserves to weather the storm?

Brand Strategy/Planning roles aren't typical in PR. So every new Account hire arrives with no experience working with a Strategist. I'm tired of explaining/showing my role adds necessary value. I love strategy, but I have an offer at another agency to move into Account as Group SVP. They want to "customize" the role for my experience, but I'm afraid it will just be on paper and people will expect me to know things I just won't. I can't afford to be fired. Thoughts? Considerations? Watch-outs?

Been with my current employer for 10 years. Secure position, secure company. Want to move out of state, so starting over at a new company and that brings uncertainty. Has anyone been able to negotiate a severance package upfront as part of the package? I do not want to find myself in a dire position if the worst case was to happen where I fired from the new job. I know…long shot worst case but current position and company has security.

I got laid off during Covid and pivoted to PM at FAANG and a partner is reaching out to me about rejoining. A part of me misses consulting but have the salty taste of my lay off experience.

If you were laid off while going through the interview process at a company and there was no reason to bring that up BUT now you make it to the final round and they directly ask "why do you want to leave your current job?", what's the best way to answer this?

Any recommendations for industries and roles where you are required to travel for periods of time across USA or internationally? For example, I worked at a trade show company (before CoVID event industry layoffs) and loved the balance of office & show travel. I have a bachelors in marketing but have mostly field sales/sponsorship/event coordination experience as well as wine/spirits industry experience (3yrs).
