Cross-post: I’m currently a divorce attorney. I’ve been practicing for two years - one as an employment attorney and one as a divorce attorney. I recently received an offer to work as a ssi/ssdi attorney and I’m thinking about taking it. I would be advocating for people who were denied ssi/ssdi benefits. In the next year or two, I would like to go solo. Should I continue at my organization doing divorce law or do ssi/ssdi work? Any advice from ssi/ssdi/divorce attorneys is welcomed.

Thoughts on the below role?

Got messaged about an analyst job doing the preliminary discovery stuff including dashboards. But not for the business, but to give recommendations to data scientists about where to focus. Having been a modeling DS, I can't imagine why I'd outsource exploratory analysis. Anyone seen a team like this before?

Also worried about career prospects. I've been wanting to turn business facing, but becoming the only DA on a DS team seems like it'd be a dead end with promos?

Hello Fishes,

Got an offer from a PwC for a digital transformation Advisory role. Also in final stages of discussion with HDFC Ergo for an EA position to a CXO.

PwC - Senior Con - 20 fixed + x Var
HDFC Ergo EA - 22 fixed + 8 Var

YOE-4.8

Which one would give better WLB and Exit opportunities?

P.S: Had sent acceptance on the portal to PwC before the starting the conversation with HDFC. So, in case I don't join PwC, will I be blacklisted by PwC. If yes, for how long ?

Hi fishes, I was tapped for an internal transfer to the research division of our company. I was lucky to be made a manager in my current workstream w/ only 2 years of experience (typically takes 4-10). The new dept originally offered me an managerial role based on that, but after speaking with higher ups, said they can’t give me a managerial role because of parity issues with other members of the team. The new comp offered with the analyst grade is only peanuts above my current pay. Advice?
