Absolutely not for a 40% bump.
Not at all. The older I get, or rather, the more tenured I’ve become in my career, I do not care about the label of my job title. Pay me what I desire and am worth and it doesn’t matter.
Don’t worry about title. They aren’t very standard. Instead, focus on what your role and responsibilities will be. You’ll likely need to explain that in future interviews so future employers realize your title didn’t necessarily reflect what you did there.
Call me whatever you want. Just show me the money

Can’t pay your bills with titles

Would you rather have the title of CEO and be paid 10k, or the title of janitor and make $1m
Me too EY1, me too. I will bring my own gloves. 😀
You can call me whatever you want for a 40% pay bunp
Read the goofy job titles in posts on LinkedIn. That will tell you all you need to know about the value of job titles versus your paycheck.
You can always go back in a couple years if your salary doesn’t continue to increase or you don’t like the new job for some reason. Will be better overall for your experience and after two or three years you can probably go back as an SM.
Tittle does not mean much to me
My kids call me chief poo poo pants and they pay next to nothing. Choose wisely.

Title doesn't matter, but your pay definitely does!!!
I feel as though the only people who are impressed by titles are those who have not gained experience, especially in the field you are in.
My goals now are to pay my bills and invest whatever is left after I take care of the very important people in my life, then sleep peacefully.
Yes, you are right
Call me the janitor as long as the money is right.
Well aren’t we all just corporate wh***s 😂
Titles really don’t mean that much in the big picture. So many places have weird title structures anyways. I would also agree to just focus on responsibilities rather than the name and for 40% I will gladly do all of that. Just a matter of how you frame it for future roles.
Personally I am more of a legs man.
No one cares that you said “tittle” not once but twice?
What's the new role/title? How hard will it be get promoted to manager in new position? If hiring manager leaves only? If so, naw, I wouldn't do it unless you don't care about title.
