I’ve worked at AT&T as a sales consultant for 6 years and 8 months where we prospect, uncover, and close on leads. I’ve used Salesforce for the past 4 years during my tenure. I’ve done B2B sales where I’ve received awards for it for 2 years consecutively. Loads of troubleshooting, uncovering needs through consultative styled selling, and tech app subscriptions.

Yelp’s business model is never to keep any Sales Person on long term. It’s gets to a point where is it is impossible. You work there for a few months get paid minimum, get stressed because your cold calling people who have begged to not be called for 5 years. You find something easier elsewhere. It is a great stepping stone and they do have the best benefits.
I had heard that there was an increase in PIPS but I didn't knwo they were doing silent layoffs. Can't say that I am surprised though because in this economy it really seems like everyone is doing layoffs. And putting you on a PIP first is usually so they can let you go without having to pay you any severance.

I was let go by them after 8 years and 2 months in June. Can confirm the above. I will never again give my time and energy to a company who does not care about its people who put the client and brand first. They’ve strayed from their Project Ayuda mission so far that clients who would pick up and engage in conversation auto block due to pressure on reps to call and email aggressively on new accounts- and reps are not marking DNC requests - further bruising client relationships. It’s a shame.
Why exactly did they fire you?
I was wondering why I was feeling more restricted in my territory. got a lot of trainee account I noticed. That‘s actually bullshit, hate this job so much lol
