Hi I’m a current Graduate student, hoping to get my foot in the door for Deloitte Healthcare Consulting, Accenture CDP, or EY specifically within Chicago Offices. Is there anyone open to connecting and speaking on their experience being hired? I have previous experience working prior to my degree so hoping to get insight on how I can best score an interview. If you’re also open to providing a referral that would be a bonus!
Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.
TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)
TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)
Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon

Hello! Anyone work at GE Healthcare?
Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

Day 1? Slow it way down. Too many former consultants try to treat the job like they did in consulting and everyone hates them for it. Prepare yourself to move slower and set lower expectations
Yes yes yes
Pour one out for your homies who did not make the leap but always dreamed of it. Way to go
Thank you. It was a long road. Trust in yourself and don’t give up. Trust me. I was laid off from big4 a couple years ago as a high performing director. And was freelancing for a little while. It always works out!
Listen first, act later…. Congrats!
Happy for ya. Maybe take some more time off!

Jk- you’ll be just fine. Bring your authentic self and absorb as much as you can.. the longer you take to share your reflections the better it is imo. You’ll do well, no doubt about it; but you gotta make sure people also thrive in your company
Good luck

Find out everything you can about your boss, their boss, and your peers. In industry, you don’t get ahead unless you pass the “does everybody like you” test.
Just look, listen, and learn. Don’t try to be an in-house consultant and point out things you think can be done better.
Figure out your scope of work, find out who to network with, and build relationships. You can either come in as “someone with a lot of experience others can rely on” or “a know it all consultant”
