What percentage or your monthly pre-tax salary are you putting towards rent?

Is it worth it to accept a new job if the salary is only $5K more than you’re currently making? And if a company extends an offer, wouldn’t it be in their best interest to give that person what they want (especially when it’s totally reasonable) rather than begin the hiring process all over again..?

The head of strategy at my agency recently said I could be on her team and I’m extremely intrigued but surprised as I just always thought I’d be on the account side since I do so well there.

Interviewed on the brand side with a very well known beauty company. They wanted to take my 5 years of experience and only pay $65k (NYC). The recruiter said I should really be flexible and be open to a salary cut if I want to move to the brand side. I know this such bullshit having done other interviews in the past.
