Which Big Law firms in San Francisco/Bay Area have good L&E groups? Good as in legitimate group and not some group that claims to do the work but really just writes blog posts and answers some advice and counsel questions. Amongst those, any intel on culture, WLB, etc.?

Background: I’ve moved XC from Philadelphia to San Francisco for an amazing career opportunity. My professional life is great, but I feel empty. All my coworkers are virtual, so it’s hard to meet up. And the fact that I’m not emotionally close with any of my family doesn’t help. Is it normal to have anxiety or depressive-type thoughts after a huge move? How do I cope with this?

So, I am not a hyper saver like a lot of folks on here but I am conscious about the future. My husband and I both work highish paying jobs that I imagine us staying in/moving up at for the foreseeable future. We max our 401ks and invest another 20-30k a year in index funds and have a 90k emergency fund. We have about 200k ish of liquid capital available and live in San Francisco. As housing prices begin to drop, I am wondering pushing to save more and invest less to buy a house (at least $1m)…

I have to be in San Diego for work and was thinking of staying through the weekend for a mini vacation. My vibe is very much lay by the pool/beach, order cocktails to my chair, and chill on a patio with delicious food but am really not seeing anything like that in San Diego (other than the Coronado which is shockingly expensive). Any recs for that type of hotel in the area or am I just totally off base on the SD vibe?

Any fun recommendations in San francisco or Arizona near antelope canyon? Hoping to plan a last minute trip.

I was wondering what the normal base pay for new grad nurses were. I get COL is fair, but I’m considering If its affordable with my student loans near 70k.
