Utilization Rate

I was told not to take off during summer & busy season if I wanted a promotion. My overall utilization was high but took a month off during non busy season. How would you approach this? I wanna quit!

Is it alright if my utilization drops below what it is supposed to be by a little bit (5% or less drop from standard amount) while I don’t have a lot of work to do?

Do all firms share utilization reports for all staff with everyone? I feel like it’s awful for our company culture to share everyone’s stats office-wide. Just breeds anger and bad vibes all around.

KPMG uses an adjusted utilization rate known as the impact score. Wondering if other firms look at actual or adjusted utilization that accounts for vacation and training hours.
