Hello Guys,
I joined Cognizant recently, the project interview calls which I am getting is not from my base location.
I have the location constraint, should I wait for the right opportunity or raise this concern to ADP team so they can look in to it?
As per ADP policy, one should not have any constraints and take the project as FCFS basis.

You’re entitled to PTO. I never use PTO except for the summer and usually take a month off. I’d rather have 1 month off to really relax than have a few weeks scattered, 1 week at a time really isn’t enough. So I use 4 weeks in the summers in between jobs, hasn’t been an issue. Now with the shutdown I’ll have 5 weeks this summer 😁
Take off anyways and see what happens. If they don't promote you switch firms.
They factor out holidays, PTO and training for effective utilization so it shouldn’t have an effect.
Wait I thought promotions were like, guaranteed? Lol
You mean like PTO?
Dang you took a month lol?
I love taking a whole month off in the summer --- much needed after every busy season
Did they tell you not to take time off at all or not to take a month at once? In the US, a month off would be a luxury. We typically accommodate for high performers that plan in advance with their teams and leader and don’t plan to take any other significant time off, but still a luxury. If you are planning to leave bc if this ask yourself when you last saw a client or had a friend take a while month off? Then maybe apply there 😉 I doubt you’ll find many companies with as generous of PTO policies as PA
It was a family emergency and it was not during busy season. I don’t plan to take off for a month. I want to take off for a week this summer but seems like it may be blocked. Just surprised by their statement regarding promotion because I was told I am one of the highest performer and some of my other coworkers took off for a month as well after me and also during busy season.
Yeah curious which firm this is. Promotion to senior is usually guaranteed unless you don’t have your cpa (pwc-audit). You probably just got bullied by someone on your team I’m assuming, doubt this would come from HR or someone at the SM/partner level
I don’t understand what the specific question is. Did someone say the PTO you already took was a problem? Who? Do you not like the restrictions about busy season and summer? Did you already ‘miss’ a promotion and don’t know why, since you feel like you followed the PTO rules?
Confused

Sounds like a firm you don't need to be at anymore. Don't let people bully you out of PTO.
Busy season, sure that's logical but in the summer?
Do you work in tax where we have a busy season in the summer? If that’s true, I understand them telling you not to take it. But also, the promotion thing is just a scare tactic, you will still get promoted
Promotions not guaranteed but still confused by what your question is?
Your pretty confusing the way you word things. From what I understand your firm doesn't want you to take a month off this year since you were in the hole last year. I'm sure a week in the summer wouldn't be a problem. Just put in a formal request and see what happens.
