Chase Sapphire Preferred or Amex Gold rn?? I see amex gold offer expiring tomorrow, anyone have insight into what next offer might be?

I have 3 YOE in CSR and 2 in Corporate Communications. Recently completed executive MBA as well. Work and current company is okay, but feeling saturated with the culture. Currently looking to switch to a company with good culture. Could you please recommend any good ones?

Does it make sense to have both the Amex platinum and CSR?

How should you manage your credit card situation if you’re joining McKinsey out of college? Do you pay the platinum fee for the company provided Amex and bill your personal expenses in that too? Or do you get another personal card like a CSR? Not sure what they provide vs what you should do on your own.

What’s the best premium credit card with a $250+ fee? Currently have the Chase Sapphire preferred but wanting something with more perks. I was thinking about Amex platinum but not sure if I can justify if it’s worth that annual fee. I take about 30 flights a year if that makes a difference.

Trying to figure out COVID insurance to travel to southeast Asia. I booked my trip (Thailand, Singapore, Bali) on my chase sapphire preferred card. The credit card has trip insurance but I don’t think this is considered COVID insurance and won’t work for the requirements to enter Thailand. What insurance do you recommend? Some of the ones I’ve seen are hundreds of dollars, while others are only 20-30$ for the week. Any tips?

Recently joined a consulting firm and have a corporate AmEx now. I am planning on paying the $95 fee to get the points from corporate expenses. I also have only a chase sapphire preferred. Is it worth picking up a Gold or Platinum card to pool all the points in one place? I eat out a lot and mostly redeem points for statement credit or the occasiaonl hotel room (use Marriott). Don’t do a ton of personal flying. Thanks in advance.

I need (1) a great rewards card personal and (2) a good business card for cash back/rewards. Currently have Venture Card for personal which I'm considering transferring to a Spark Card (still Capital one so I don't have to cancel a card, my Venture) and use for business, then signing up for Chase Sapphire Preferred for personal. I have 800 credit score. AMEX would be the obvious choice but I cannot get one yet since I'm blacklisted after an incident about 10 years ago. What would you do?

I got a delta gold AMEX card, mostly for travel points. Then I realized how expensive delta flights are…did I mess up? Should I have gotten the Chase Sapphire instead?

If I purchase a flight with a credit card (e.g Chase Sapphire Preferred) without using the the Chase travel portal, will I still get points for this purchase? I have to purchase it through my company’s travel partner and then the company will reimburse me. Hence, not being able to use Chase’s portal. Thanks!

Hi, I’m a Finance major currently with 6-7 years of retail banking experience (CSR/Personal Banking/ Branch Manager positions). I wanted to know what I would need to focus on in my field for my profession to transition into the FinTech industry, like working in departments like Finance, DF&A, Financial Analysts, etc.?

Industry Advice: I am currently in a Commercial P&C CSR broker position working with manufacturing and staffing clients. I am working towards a promotion within my same team in the near future but an Account Manager position has opened up now in the construction space within our office. Should I voice my interest in the construction AM role even though I have a limited amount of construction experience or wait the six months for the AM position on my current team?

I recently applied for global entry and paid the $100 on my chase sapphire preferred. Today I got approved for the Amex platinum and they have a $100 reimbursement credit for global entry. Is there anyway I can get it reimbursed or am I screwed because the charge is on my CSP? I haven’t paid off my CSP statement yet. TIA!

With travel starting back up, I’m looking to get a credit card to maximize reward points. (For what its worth, 23 high 700s credit score, Discover card just isn’t cutting it.)

Based on some searching, it looks like Chase Sapphire Preferred is the best all around card but wanted to get other peoples thoughts. What do you use/find the most bang for your points? Does it make sense to pay for expensive things with a credit card if I'm going to be hit with a 4% fee? I've got a chase Sapphire preferred and a friend suggested paying things with the card but I'll be charged 4% on all transactions. All in, it'll be about $20k onto the card.

Airline (Hawaiian via JetBlue) fully cancelled my outbound flight 2 days prior to departure. I booked a new, more expensive flight through hawaiiian. Is there any option to have them reimburse the difference in cost? I booked both on chase sapphire and the first through UR but have had no luck
