What’s a good career track in you are starting off as a CSR?

So I am investing in a franchise and so need to save as much capital as I can. One of my wife’s closest friends is getting married in Florence this summer (just told us). We’d like to go, I’m not good with points, so wondering if anyone in here has a passion for getting the best deals via points who can help a fool out. I have 300K CSR, 100K AA, and 150K Bonvoy points to play with (though I’d like to not have to use all of them). TIA!

Did anyone else with Chase Sapphire not get the email about the Dash Pass extension?

Recently received 80k offer for Amex Gold and 150k offer for Platinum. Currently use CSR for travel and dining, which we will downgrade later this year as wife got CSP for 100k bonus (which we might upgrade to CSR to keep 1.5x redemption). Considering Gold for groceries (family of 4) and potentially for dining over CSP/CSR. With groceries, 4x return will just offset AF. Have no exp with MP. Worth getting gold? Can I later (next month) also get Platinum for bonus for when travel starts again?

I have chase sapphire reserve. Need to jump start my car battery. Called chase roadside assistance who said there is a charge of $69. I thought this used to be free service?

Have the CSR and thinking about downgrading to CSP, should I downgrade or have my wife get the CSP so we can get the bonus. If we do that I’ll get the chase freedom. How does that affect my chase points?

For someone spending ~$100k on a credit card in a given year, mostly travel / dinners, what card would you recommend if they don’t want any crazy combo? Was thinking CSP or CSR - They’re United loyalists but not tied long term.

I’ve have had a mix of Chase Sapphire, Marriott and Amex cards for a while - since I traveled for work. Now moving to a remote role- focusing on 2 nice international family trips a year. Is it worth moving everything to an airline miles card - getting more bang for your buck with business class upgrades? Or how should I think about my CC strategy?

Thinking to get a card just for Marriott spending (almost weekly Marriot stays) -- Chase Boundless or AMEX Brilliant? Or should I use a non Marriott branded card? (CSP or CSR, Venture X) Thoughts?

Amex Gold vs Chase Sapphire preffered? Top reasons for your pick?

Relatively new to consulting and credit card points. I’m looking at getting a new card and I’m between CSR and CSP. What are the big things to consider when deciding between the two cards? I tend to spend most of my disposable income at bars/restaurants but hoping to travel more.

Looking to upgrade travel credit card. Currently have AAviator Red Master Card and looking at a more Premium options such as Capital One VentureX, Chase Sapphire Reserve, etc. I live in a American hub city and fly probably about a dozen times per year. Currently annual fee is $95 but likely would increase to $300+. Worth it?

Is there any disadvantage to getting a target debit card vs a credit card? The debit card still gets 5% off on purchases. Thinking of going with a debit card because I’m about to apply for a different credit card (chase sapphire) and don’t want my credit score to take a hit

Personal vs company card. Founded a small startup, currently using my CSR card for business expenses, but debating getting a company card (e.g. Amex or other). The points on the CSR are relatively valuable however. Anyone make a similar choice either way? What are the benefits of getting a separate company card?

i downgraded my csr to chase freedom to take adv of the csp signup bonus. i notice that my points are split - legacy csr points were converted into much more worthless chase freedom points, new csp points are csp points. when i close my csp and upgrade back to csr, the points will convert back to csr points… right?

Thinking about dropping Amex plat. Don’t see the value of this card at $700 AF.

Is venture x the move? I really liked my CSR, but sign up bonus is only $50K right now.

Primary spend on food, dining etc. Less travel these days since I’ve left consulting, but still looking for a premium credit card…

Options are

1) Keep Amex plat ($550AF with my corp amex)

2) downgrade amex plat to gold ($100AF); get venture x / csr if 100k bonus is back / some other travel card

Chase Sapphire Reserve is not able to book a ticket for me on Air India because the flight is not showing up on their system. The flights shows up everywhere else including on Expedia, which powers Chase’s portal. Anyone had similar experience?

Csr or Amex platinum?

If I get a rental car on a code that I’m not authorized for, does CSR insurance cover all of the damage that would’ve been included on the corp rate?

What are some good credit cards to get after Chase Sapphire Preferred?

Been with Chase Saphire Reserve for more than 2 years now. DoorDash benefit is expiring in Jan. Lyft Pink is expiring in April (not sure it will be renewed). I don’t really use any of the other benefits. Is it worth renewing this card in Feb? I have been closely looking at Capital One Ventura. Any thoughts? Also I have 35k CSR points, would I be able to keep them if I don’t continue my CSR?

Thank god for Chase travel. They seamlessly handled my cancelation and rebooking without a crazy wait time. Was going to cancel my CSR but now wondering if I should renew

Just started a new job (so long PwC!) where I expect to be traveling a decent amount next year (potentially once a quarter internationally, once a month domestically). The new company doesn’t have corporate cards so we’re allowed to use our own card for expensing work trips. Any recs for which card to open as my “corporate card”? My wife got a 125k point Amex Platinum offer. I have CSR and trying to figure out if it makes sense for her to get this card? The only perks we wouldn’t use is the equinox membership. Only other card she has is Delta platinum, which pays for itself with the companion pass.

Amex Plat is like renting in Manhattan - more expensive, less benefits but great to show off. CSR is like renting in Jersey - cheap, actually useful benefits but can’t show off.

Anyone with a Amex Plat/CSR + Bonvoy Brilliant combo? Were you able to maximize benefits and would you recommend it?

What is the best way to use 70k points if I don’t want to use them for travel via Chase? Unfortunately there are too many restrictions and I’ve not had a great experience with chase travel.

Looking for a new credit card and deciding between the Amex gold or chase sapphire preferred. Any preferences? For reference I’m in my mid 20s and live in nyc. I’m not looking to pay a huge annual fee and I have a corporate Amex green card which takes $100 off annually for Amex gold. Most of my spending goes to rent, dining, groceries, seamless, public transportation, Uber/lyft, and online shopping. I have status with delta as well but work completely remote so not traveling as much.

Any credit card point experts out there? I just received 100,000 bonus points from Chase sapphire preferred. Chase partners with Marriott, Hyatt, United, and Southwest. Would love any advice on how to maximize the reward and use the points efficiently! Thank you!
