Does pharma industry ask for references? I’m going through interviews at a few places. Fingers crossed, but what happens after I sign the offer? If references are needed, do people typically give their manager as a reference? Sorry for being naive, BCG is my first job.

Any advice for final round interviews for PE associate roles? Any unique questions you’ve seen? Any tips on how to standout?

Hey guys. I have a technical interview with AlixPartners restructuring and turnaround team. This is for their summer intern position. I didn’t come from a restructuring background. Does anyone have an idea of what might get asked in the interview? Is it going to be very restructuring specific or some general accounting/ finance/ operational sides of topics.

Is it acceptable to apply to multiple positions at large firms (ex. big 4)?
It feels like Im waiting a few months after applying to a position until I get a rejection. So would it be okay to apply to more than 1 position at a time instead of waiting?

Interview tomorrow for a tax associate opening at RSM. Been working in a mid-size city (different firm) that is about 70 minutes from this new home office in a larger metro. How flexible is WFH or dual model going forward post Covid? Am interested in this position and going to tax, but not be able to relocate for family reasons. Don’t want to drive 700 miles per week M-F. What will dual model be like going forward? 1-2 times week, 4-5 month? Seems like tax was more flexible than audit pre-Covid

Interviewed for the 2023 Enterprise Strategy Senior Consultant role at IBM. Went through to the behavioral interview after the case and am waiting to hear back. Any idea how long it usually takes?

I’m applying for a job that requires a writing sample. I would like to submit a sample that was filed and used in a case. The problem is, all of the samples I can submit also include a partner in the signature block and were reviewed before filing. Any tips on writing a cover letter explaining that, aside from minor revisions by the partner, the writing is my own?

In the process of interviewing for a strategy/Corp dev position at an activewear/athleisure company and they want me to think of a couple tangential industries that may have companies for acquisition and do a write up. I’m stumped on what else an activewear company would buy besides other activewear companies. I can only think of home fitness (Lulu’s Mirror) or vitamins/supplements. Any thoughts?

I’m working in a large fund; market neutral public market strategy funds; am about to be recommended for a promotion to associate. However, an analyst position just opened up internally in Credit, which is where I aspire to be for the next ten years. More growth and more intellectual challenge. I’m conflicted about applying for a lateral transfer and losing out on a promotion. Will I be missing out a promotion or should I negotiate a promotion as part of my application to this role ?

Big 4 Consulting interviews: do most people fail out of interviews at the behavioral interview part or the case interview part? Does anyone know statistics of job offers given once you make the casing portion of a Big 4 interview?

Hello! Will be receiving a $400 stipend from my new org for office setup. I currently have a 15” 2015 Pro, my husband has a Lenovo, I’ll be provided with a work laptop, we have a used office desk.

Any recommendations on what I should use the stipend for? Hubby was suggesting a printer because we don’t currently have one, but I feel like I don’t really print that much anymore and I’ll be working remotely.

Anyone have any tips for how to heal a shoulder injury? Started working out pretty young and had bad form which probably lead to some long term injury in my right shoulder. Whenever I lift the pain is minimal at lower weights but brutal at higher weights. Also, any tips on how to properly warm up your shoulders would be greatly appreciated.
