What would be the benefit of joining an organization where you aren’t likely/able to achieve your target? Sounds like a company that doesn’t support their sales team enough
Whoever told you that probably doesn’t want you in their org. There is no way someone would genuinely say that, even if it were true.
Different companies seem to have different approaches to quota setting, and how many reps hit quota - eg, 50% hit quota, 70% hit quota, etc… so if barely any reps hit quota then there is no reason for reps to stay in role, causing high churn
This is likely a way around uncapped commissions and for them to control sales pay. I’d make sure the OTE at partial plan is what you need for the year.
