3YOE consulting - what level to exit in industry?

Get presented associate level roles mostly but feel like I should push for manager

Interviewing with a boutique consulting firm for senior associate tech consulting role in Texas. 5 years of total experience: 3 yoe in technical roles, 2 yoe in big 4 consulting. Boutique firm says their pay is competitive if not higher than big 4. What base salary should I expect and ask for?

Applied for Sr. Associate role at PwC through referral and received rejection letter. Did not make into the first round. 5 YOE at a local boutique firm specializing in HR technology with master degree in I/O. Require visa sponsorship (H1B transfer).
How much does referral increase one’s chance? And does it vary by firm? Any insights would be appreciated!

I did not realize how underpaid I was at my current firm/ position until I started applying for my same position elsewhere and saw the base starting salary at some companies/ other firms is around 10,000 more than where I’m at salary wise in my current firm (62k, HCOL, Senior Associate 1)

BCG fish, what is a “Visiting Associate”? Same as a normal associate position, or no?

I have interview coming up for Senior Associate at JP morgan and I have more than 3.5 years of experience.
Does anyone know the salary range for that role?

1st year manager at b4 between staying or zs (associate consult.)

Zs : lower title but higher salary and salary growth. Unsure of avg time to partner. more strategic work than at b4

Big4: 8+ years to partner on avg from where I am, good network within the firm, good wlb

Both would be “new roles” I’m moving internally. From what I can tell I don’t know how much zs will help exit ops outside of pharm.

Option 3:wait and try mbb (I had final round recently, offer to try again in ~5-6 months)

Any tips for senior analysts (2-3 YOE) trying to exit to industry a level up (senior associate / early manager)? Best ways to position your experience? Companies that are more willing to take the chance?

I graduated from law school in 2019, and my eventual goal would be to work as an Associate on the partnership track at a medium-sized firm. Trying to take years of management experience as well as a background in finance to transition into a a possible Business Analyst role after getting my Bachelor’s in IT Management.

Any advice on how to navigate to a new role while still using my years of experience to my benefit to not start as an entry level associate?

Is it uncommon to negotiate titles? Been interviewing for this job and really want it, but it’s an "associate" level position which also seems weird considering they’re asking for 3 years experience. I’ve currently been an associate for 2 years now and think it’s time to move on from the title. Salary is right, just the title is holding me back. Thoughts?

If I did a PT mba in finance (at a top school like booth or kellogg) and network myself into IB. Would I be considered for investment banking analyst role? I don’t have any finance experience been working in tech side of consulting. I know MBAs usually come out as associate but since i have no experience I’m not sure. curious as to what you all think.

Currently working at wipro as an associate analyst level for the last 24months and additionally leading a team as acting TL.
It’s been 6 months and I haven’t been promoted for the TL position.

I’m a senior associate in corporate and partnership in a public accounting firm in nyc. I noticed my client contacts from big corporates and partnerships are frequently working till midnight and also over the weekends. This makes me feel like it’s no better than staying at big four but I must wrong otherwise people wouldn’t leave.

What are the exit ops like after 1 or 1.5 years as an analyst/associate out of undergrad? Is 2 years really required to get a decent post-consulting job?

I haven’t secured a summer associate role. 1) How bad will this affect my chances of getting into a big law associate role next summer, or 2) am I too late?

Hello all, I'm a very green attorney, never tried a single case or even was second or third chair, but managed to land a litigation associate position at a Plaintiff's firm. Does anyone remember their first trial? How did you feel and how did it turn out by comparison? Anything you wish you did differently?
I know in THEORY what the process of trials are but thanks to COVID I haven't been able to observe them in real life so I'm very nervous for the day I finally enter a courtroom.

Speaking with a recruiter next week about an associate role with a VC firm (~500m AUM). What should I expect for comp for this role? I’m 3.5 yoe.

I asked for a hike of 45-50% for Associate 2 role in PwC US Advisory. HR is reluctant to give the same, asking for rationale behind the hike. I have about 2 years of work experience post MBA (Tier 2 B school) in another Big 4. My current CTC is around 8.4 LPA.
Am I asking for too much?
