does anyone have experience exiting after 1 year? any vengeful MD stories? my MD knows a lot of people and i’m scared if i interview or exit to one of these places that he has a connection at he might try to mess with my career...

I am currently seeking a role in Consulting, my experience has been in in the intersection of Healthcare & Social Services in both the Private and NonProfit sector. Come to find out my director is still in school and has absolutely no marketing experience. She’s been with the company for 4 months. They seem to want to utilize my complete skills set and make up for her lack of marketing knowledge but maintain her position as director and pay me a entry level marketing manager salary. Advice?
