Interviewing for CEO Office / Strategy role at a megafund. Could anyone that has gone through the process shed some light on what I could expect?

I am a vested partner and an empty nester. I was approached by a PE firm to take on a CEO role at a digital company with only 2000 people. Worth exploring or should I stick with the sure thing?

When you overhear your boss repeatedly referring to you as two titles above your current role to the CEO...🤔 Time to ask for that promotion? Or wait for it to happen in its own time?

Thoughts on Chief of Staff Roles within industry? Recruiting with a multi-national sales training and performance company as the CoS to their CEO. They want to build out a new professional service arm amongst other strategic growth initiatives and they need someone to help push the agenda. By thoughts I am looking for things like... are these valued positioned in companies, trajectory into an executive role in a few years, compensation accretive, interesting work?

Comp sounds like it will be +\- $165, 25% bonus and some variable comp tied to the performance of the sales team (don't know numbers here but certainly interesting). Is that in play for this type role? I am currently M1, S&O, MBA from top 5, high performer. Represents a small bump for me on my current base pay and bonus

A recruiter at Riot Games reached out to me on LinkedIn. They're hiring for multiple newly created corporate strategy roles. The strategy org will work closely with the CEO and exec team to shape company strategy through innovation, acquisition, etc. They're looking for consultants who also have an interest and passion for video games.

This post/question definitely isn’t for the average successful big law corporate lawyer since it feels like I’ve taken a very unorthodox route.. I am a junior attorney that finally got out of litigation. I took a role as general counsel for a rather big (as in presence in multiple states/facilities in multiple cities) vertically integrated cannabis company. So I received a msg from a headhunter for a start up with about 300 people and just got series D for 75M. The role is to work with CEO’s and very senior level people. The two issues I am having are: when I looked at some of the VP’s over the group…they wouldn’t be very senior anywhere else. One has been working since 2010 and until 5 yrs ago was a ESOL teacher. Today I had a 4th round interview and gave a 10 min presentation for a position I really want. I honestly love everything about this position and is my dream job. I thought it went really well & she seemed very positive. She said she would follow up with the ceo (who I already met with) and let me know about next steps. Hello! I have 3 yrs work experience at a top strategy boutique in Europe. I have now offers to join EYP at Senior Level in Western Europe (leading tier 2 in the market), Kearney in Dubai at Senior level too and a “head of strategy” position for a SME company (700 FTE) in Western Europe. I’m leaning towards the head of strategy as it’s rare those positions are open after only 3 years and CEO is giving me loads of freedom. Which one would you choose ? Most of junior UX designer role asked for 2-3yoe. So, I volunteered at a startup to at least show that I’m working on something.. the entire process has been quite slow due to the stakeholder has been so busy fundraising and ceo said they are hiring developer (for the past 2months...). I received a verbal offer for an in-house position. Although there is still a final call with the CEO required, I’ve been asked to accept the verbal by tomorrow, with the written offer to follow after the call with the CEO. I’m expecting another offer from a second company this week, and would like to be able to weigh each offer.

Is this verbal offer just to solidify the numbers? If I accept the verbal, would it be bad to not accept the written if the other offer I receive is better?

Interview next week for a fintech VP role (real VP reporting to CEO, not the fake traditional finance VP titles) and have no idea what target salary should be. Glassdoor is all over the place. Trying to crowdsource a reasonable number.

Current profile - Associate at tier 2 looking for thoughts 1. Google - l4 - 220k, strategy and ops. Pros :WLB, brand name, culture, diversity, mobility, visible role, driven team
cons: not so sure if work is really interesting, Junior on hierarchy.

I'm an in-house counsel at a national company. Our GC is leaving. I’m the only other in-house attorney, and I’ve only been here for 4 months. I like the job. Previously, I was a 6th-year associate.
The CEO asked me to stay and implied a larger role, but doesn't have a clear picture of what that looks like. Asked for my help in redefining. Even unsure as to timing or whether we'll hire another GC. Questions for Fishbowl: (1) benefits or pitfalls? (2) questions or requests you'd have for CEO?
