It really depends. How big is the company? What round of funding?
I had both fintech VP and F100 VP roles and took F100. For me, the numbers for TC were all over the place: 300-600.
I took F100 because the cash and equity are real. Fintech, they offered TC that 'could' be better, but would take at least 5-7 years to become real. Cash didn't get there though.
So there's also a component of your own willingness to take risk
Most smaller companies I would expect around 300-350 base 600-700 all in (split between ~25% cash and 75% RSUs with like 4 year vest schedules). I typically work with based tech. For larger big tech that would be much higher as a vp would be a more senior role.
AP: I focus on op model and zbx at tech companies. For VP level roles these are pretty standard- I find generally the gap from around. Director to VP at these firms given you get P&L responsibility is usually pretty big. At a products or retail etc this might be very different but in my industry VP comes with responsibilities as large or greater than an MD/partner in consulting and carries similar comp as such.
