Has anyone interviewed at AWS for DevOps Consultant or Solution Architect role? Would you mind sharing your experience?

I’d really appreciate if someone can share their thoughts on my current situation:

YOE+Salary: 2Y advisory consultant-65k

Situation: My current client is a tier-1 banking client, they have approached me to do the exact same work which I’m doing for them now.

Issue: They are offering me contract to hire role. I haven’t worked as a contractor anywhere so not sure how i feel about job security especially under current situation. But they are offering 68/hr wages (around 140k pre-tax)

What are exit ops for a consultant in internal audit/assurance aligned with business process integrity? I’m breaking away a bit from the IT side because I feel like that gets to specialized in IT audit, but not to familiar with how business process integrity projects can lead into industry. (Context: big 4 advisory)

Hi, I’m just wondering if anyone has switched form an audit staff to consultant position if that’s easy or anything. I do not have my CPA yet but I also think I don’t like audit enough to care to get it. I think I was to switch into advisory. Any advice ?

Hey folks - reaching out for advice. Fmr LS strategy consultant that moved onto a VC/BD role at a seed fund. Was just recently accepted to a state medical school (nothing special but I received scholarship and won’t have to take out a loan to pay for school), but of course it is the opportunity to train as a physician. Given the current economic outlook, what would you do if you were in my shoes? If you didn’t go to medical school, what would you try to do?

Deloitte members, how much is your salary as a Technology Consultant (specifically in DC) or any other state. I was offered a federal role in DC

I don’t mean to be vague but does anyone have experience or insights on if things are “better” as a black person working as a consultant or in house somewhere rather than in an agency? Any POV is helpful. For background I currently work at Ogilvy in a pretty junior role and I see NO ONE that looks like me. Peers or at the top aside from those in HR/diversity and in addition to dealing with the day to day reality of being a POC in corporate America, its hard to visualize a path to “the top”.
