Requested to give a recruiter comp expectations and not able to really defer. Life sciences firm for a consultant or sr consultant position. Nothing on Glassdoor so wanted to get some ideas of what ppl in comparable roles are making? 🙏🙏

I need guidance to feel relaxed (Strategy/ preparation). The scenario is - I got a lead consultant (Database Developer position: PostgreSQL & Oracle) in a Gxxpxxx last week.
I've 15 days left to join.
Currently am afraid, tensed & feeling constantly worried about whether I can able to give good value to the company? I've an avg amt of hands on.
I'm into catastrophic thinking (They might criticize or judge or fire me if I didn't do well). I need guidance.

What does a Consultant role in big 4 equate to in MBB? (…if at all lol)

Super excited about an opportunity to exit to a growth strategy role at a startup (basically a consultant for their clients exclusively for their product) and trying to think of contingencies for worst case scenario before so accept the offer. Is it realistic to go into strategy consulting if this doesn’t work out or is startup experience not looked at favorably at big consulting firms?

Is there any position in Bain looking for a data scientist. I have more than 2 years of experience as a data science consultant and now want to switch to Bain.

I have been offered consultant role by EY. HR in verbal communication told me about the salary structure as Fixed + Variable % + Joining Bonus .
The offer letter mentions the Fixed and Joining Bonus but doesn't say anything about the Variable Portion. Is this okay or do I need to talk to HR about this?

Consulting was never my end game, always planned to exit after manager at some point for a program manager/strategy role in industry. I am currently a year 2 consultant who would be up for manager next year and could be making around 150k. I have an offer to exit to industry for 140k (10k higher than current salary), trying to decide if it’s better to leave now or hold out for the manager tittle.

Got an offer from a D2C startup (acquired by a larger retail company):
-130K base
-10% target bonus
-no equity

I’m a Consultant (post-MBA role, promoted from Associate) at BCG with 2.5 years of WE, so making 220K+ all in currently. Realize it’ll be difficult for me to match BCG comp, but is this place lowballing me or is the comp package reasonable given my work experience?

- pros: Deloitte name, potential to WFH
- cons: lower pay, have to find a project on my own

Accenture federal L9 Consultant
- 105k base, 10k bonus
- pros: higher pay, direct hire position where they have a need
- cons: strict in office 4 days a week, option to WFH once a week

I really value WLB and have loved WFH, but keep in mind I’m coming from a current salary of 70k.

Any advice is appreciated!
