I currently make 95k as a first year consultant at a not well known consulting firm (started in May). I worked in financial services for 4 years before that.

Is it worth trying to jump to a company like Deloitte, KPMG, McKinsey, Accenture, etc?

Editing to add that my top two priorities are money and professional growth. I feel stuck in my current role and don’t really feel as if i have gained any form of skillset or knowledge. The paycheck (was making 50k before) is good which is why i stay.

Does anyone knows about the firm Magic Edtech claiming to be a part of Magic Software (located in NOIDA) ?

Please advise for the role of project management consultant/PMO.

Got promoted to manager this year and making 152k. Got an offer from BCG Platinion but they're bringing me as a Senior Consultant for 160K.

I tried other exit ops at Amazon, FB, MSFT, Walmart, Mastercard, etc but they never followed through past the initial interview or call with the recruiter.

Would the move to BCG be a good idea? I'm stuck at EY doing implementation work I'm not enjoying and I'd be doing more IT strategy and management at BCG which I enjoy more.

I want to pursue a partnership role with another firm. However I'm stuck with updating my resume. I've held progressively more responsible roles starting with HR Consultant up to a Practice Manager / Director. How do I change my resume, shifting away from the consulting aspect to partner level responsibilities? Any suggestions for help with this?

1 YOE accepted a job offer as a data scientist at one of the big 4 a month ago for 108TC . My start date is Jan 3rd and I just received another offer from a tiny consulting firm for a ML consultant role for 120 TC fully remote. Is it worth reneging offer for?

I’m thinking about switching from banking (not IB) more middle office role to a Senior Consultant client facing role at the Big 4 in Canada. I’ve got 1.5 years of work experience. The offer presented to me is 75k base and 5k bonus, is it too low? I tried to negotiate to 80-85 range but they came back saying they won’t budge.

Need some advice/help to evaluate 2 offers. YOE: 6
I have an offer from Genpact at 4D Band (Senior M ~ Exp Senior Consultant IMO) for TC of $150K Base + 10% Bonus and one expecting from EY at M1 level for $150-160K Base.
Both firms are similar on salary but the position. The next level at Genpact is AVP which I feel is equivalent to Manager only after 2 years. Should I choose Manager level at EY or should I choose a lower level with equal pay which will kind of help me set lower expectations

Accenture is hiring for IAM consultant with 2+ YOE. DM for referral.

Currently an implementation consultant with 6.5yoe. Received an offer at 180k OTE for a sales engineering position (no sales engineering experience) at 70/30 with 35k in equity (4 year best).

Is this a decent offer? My current TC is about 165k, but the team I’m joining averages 10% on top through accelerators as well so I’m realistically looking at about 200k TC excluding equity.

Hi everybody, wondering best way to apply to consulting companies in ME. Currently a consultant in boutique US firm w/ 1.5 YOE a b.s. in business, masters in analytics and a fluent Arabic speaker. Ideally MBB for exit opp/ later on but anything top 10 is good imo. Also how does the pay work? If I'm from America will I get paid the American salary in USD? How's the WLB? Regular consultant 60-70? Can anyone provide a referral? Ive been to MBB final rounds off little prep before so confident now.

Any advice on MBA application timeline (e.g., who and when to ask for letters of rec, essay preparation)?

working as a network tech for an ISP for a year now, no prior tech exp but prior professional/management exp. Goal: coding exp by eoy yr2

I applied for and was offered a IT team position at a resort which pays 20% more and involves more diverse skills, networking, some sysadmin, potential .net development exp and scripting.

Current employer offers 21% raise and 30% coding duties. Dept head cannot give it in writing... coding is as helper to a consultant.

Serious feedback and answers requested for D commercial offer.
Currently a Mgr, applied to Mgr role, Recruiter extended me an offer, however it was for a Sr Consultant position, and said they would put me on a fast track path to Mgr. They also alleged that they want to ensure I come in and learn the D way and learn their methods so I have a better chance of success.
Q. Is there such a thing as a fast track path? I find this offer almost offensive, since I am already performing at the Mgr-level.

Base: 97K, 4.5 years YOE
Pros: good WLB, 401k 6% matching, 15% ESPP, good colleagues

New offer:
Base:120k /Tech Strategy and analytics senior consultant /No sign on bonus
Pros: more base salary/strategy role
Cons: more likely less WLB/more stress/ no 401k matching right away and no ESPP
