Thoughts on making a move as a Exp SC or waiting until likely Manager promo at YE 2021? Non b4 advisory role with bulk of exp in Internal Audit and SOX. Have tried to get staffed on more diverse projects with little success over the last 4y. Pretty disheartened with current trajectory and project work. Any advice appreciated.

Does Deloitte consider interviewing and bringing someone in at a consultant role in response to a senior consultant posting? Curious of others experience

You guys are great, but consulting might not be for me so I’m considering yeeting out. My question: as a staff-level consultant, how much would it help me to wait until I am promoted to senior consultant before leaving? Im going to start a business but if it fails I want to have a decent resume to hop into another role. I’m fresh out of college and I have literally no idea what I’m doing. Thanks all. Insults not appreciated, I am a delicate flower.

SC at ~ 180K TC. I recently got an offer from my current client for a VP role (they had pitched other roles and I declined due to the comp difference not being high enough). They came back a few months later with a 450K TC VP offer that really surprised me... While this seems like an obvious move, the client is really shitty and fairly small (~1B in rev). Am I crazy for thinking of turning this down? My GF and I combined make about 400K so it’s incrementally not that much to us.

Does the US leadership care that this years promotions were based on which cast and community the person belonged to ? This is how networking interpreted in India, which, seen together with your declining, low-cost hiring standards is leading to dysfunctional middle management. Middle management (SC,M) had role models once. Please step in and sort things before USI becomes body shop and please break well-known nexus between Talent and SMs

Whats the salary for a senior consultant at Guidehouse roughly? In banking and capital markets specifically. Also how is the WLB for that type of role?

SC with 6 YOE. Is it realistic to aim for an exit opportunity to big pharma at SM/AD roles? Appreciate any insights.

So I’m a second year consultant. Like most, I was disappointed with compensation this year and am pretty bearish on my future earning potential here. I’m currently interviewing with a big tech company (not FAANG but close) for a position with substantially higher pay as a business analyst. I really wanted to stay til SC/M but the money is too good to pass up. I guess my question is: are there any major downsides to exiting to industry “too early?” Has anyone done it and regretted it?

Guidehouse is always approaching me for a SC role and I’m already at 160k. Is it even worth to have a convo with them? Dont think they can give 20% bump as a SC

Do title really matter that much for Exit Ops? Have an offer for SC at Guidehouse. Currently BA at Deloitte. Currently at 3 YOE. (Was an EH with 1 YOE). I only ask because I have a friend I advisory that’s SC with the same YOE, however, she was hired with 3 YOE

I interviewed with Deloitte for a SC role back in April and received a verbal offer since there was a hiring freeze. Every time I've reached out, HR is quick to respond that they're committed to making me an actual offer once hiring within that team opens back up. However, I just received an offer from a smaller firm I've been interviewing with. I would much rather work at Deloitte but would it be silly to wait around with nothing but a verbal offer in my pocket? Currently employed.

I’ve been in my role as a SC for the better part of 3 years, watching my peers and even some more recent hires make the jump to Manager. I have lots of quality experience as an Engagement Manager, and I have a very in demand skill set for my area. I’ve even taken over the role of a previous EM (billing at a band above me) while still billing as an SC for most of 2020. My manager’s feedback is to manage up better in order to improve my visibility and boost my promotion app - thoughts on this?

I have an offer but I’m honestly not understanding the difference between a C, SC, and M role. Of course I know it depends a lot on the engagement. ADVICE PLEASE! I’m Currently a consultant (technologist, lowest level) at Booz Allen looking to go to Accenture at the next level up since I’m due for a promotion Jan 1 (I think for Accenture this is the consultant level which is the same as senior consultant at Booz).
