Anyone know the process of moving from a developer role to business analyst or program manager or product manager role in Capgemini. ?

I transitioned into a product manager role at a startup after working as a PO/BA for about 10 yrs. My manager wants me to put together a plan for me taking over from him! He wants me to layout Tasks / milestones / gaps / issues, etc. My problem is that I just jump into work and figure out as I go depending on what is required at any given time. Now a product road map exists, dev apparently doesn’t estimate. Any of y’all did anything like this in the past? Any pointers on how to tackle?

Looking to jump from consulting to product manager at FAANG with internal referral. 3 YOE. Do I need to submit GPA, transcript, etc or does nobody do that after the first job?

Is Principal Product Manager role a good title/role? I'm not too familiar with titles in the product management world, but the work itself is interesting for the role I'm looking at. But the title doesn't really give me a sense of where in the hierarchy it might sit. Any insights?

Thoughts on when applying for a product manager role and then the recruiter tells you they truly want to bring in someone who has product experience and so they flip your process to customer success manager? The CSM at this company makes 17% less than what my current base is..I really like the company, product and idea of stock options but taking that much of a pay cut doesn’t seem worth it to me. Got reached out to from recruiter. Seems really interesting, but was surprised to learn base pay is lower than my current ($185k at Big 4...). Should I consider a move even if comp is lower, just because MBB?

150k base + 100k in RSUs / 4 years for a product manager role at a late stage startup. Is this fair? I have 2.5 YOE in consulting out of undergrad. I think the base is generous but RSU portion seems a bit low?

How often do recruiters lie about the reason they're not proceeding with you? Recently got to a final round and they said feedback was good all around (hiring manager really loved me). I’m considering a position at a startup that has its initial seed funding. The role is vague but it’s generally along the lines of project and product manager with an expectation to be a jack of all trades. What I’m trying to figure out is what’s a fair TC package? Any thoughts? It’s out of NYC and is a mid-senior position working directly with the CEO.

I have a virtual on-site round for a Product Manager role coming up in which some of the interviews will involve screen sharing and whiteboarding. The suggested tools were Miro, Limnu, Excalidraw or any other tools I’m comfortable using.

I essentially never whiteboard and I’ve never used these tools. What are some easy to learn and use whiteboarding tools that will do the trick and I can pick up in like an hour?

I’ve spent the last five years as a Product Manager working on teams that both work at an exhausting pace. As a result, even though I’ve delivered a lot, I feel like now that I’ve gained the basic competencies, I’m not getting smarter. I spend so little time being intentional about my work. Every day is about solving the problem in front of my face, rather than the one a mile down the road. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it worth trying to find a slower role to refine my craft?
