Anybody interview for an Aetna/CVS senior business consultant role (healthcare strategist)? The opening is in the utilization management/prior authorization space. TIA!

Our shop is currently hiring for the following positions: Copywriter, Content Strategist, Account Manager (Montreal), Account Manager (Toronto), Intermediate Wordpress Developer. Full time and contract positions available.

I applied last year as Account Strategist in Dublin. I didn’t pass the LAST step. The recruiter encouraged me to apply again this year so I applied five days ago for the same role with the same cv and cover letter. Let’s guess what happened... A recruiter rejected by application.

Why? What’s your opinion about it?

After many months unemployed, I got an offer in another city at a pharma agency, HCP work. My last position was as a brand strategist at a well-known NYC agency. With the surge in job postings, should I hold out for a position that I'd actually be excited about? Or is the job market still super terrible? I wouldn't even mind DTC healthcare, but HCP is just not for me.

Tips for landing a marketing leadership and/or generalist role? My experience is as a strategist. I pull together a big picture plan and work with specialists to execute. Unfortunately, most job postings I come across are looking for someone with extensive lists of technical skills that can strategize and work in multiple martech tools to execute. Are pure strategy roles disappearing?

A good friend of mine graduated from Parsons this past summer, has degrees in Journalism and French, is a talented photographer and designer (which I feel I have a pretty decent eye for after working at a design-driven branding agency for half a decade). And I’m certain she’d make a fabulous junior AD or content strategist. Unfortunately she, like many in this pandemic, is still without a job. Recently accepted a role a junior role at a small shop. Although I’m thrilled, a couple key members of an already lean strategy team just announced their departure from the agency. If they’re expecting me to fulfill the duties of a mid-level strategist can I bring up a salary review? Don’t wanna ruffle any feathers considering how new I am but also wanna be valued for the work I’m doing :/

Would you be willing to take a demotion for more money?

My boss keeps saying cryptic things that has me feeling like I am at risk of being laid off. Funny enough, today a friend reached out to me about an in-house position at her company. It seems ok and there is a chance I would be able to get a $5k or so raise in pay, but the position would be a huge title demotion for me from a mid-level strategist with 6 yrs experience to more entry-level coordinator role. Is it worth it?

What's the best way for a senior Strategist in a Media agency to switch to a Marketing (not Media) role client side?

I am interested in pivoting from an agency into a traditional business consultancy role. I have start-up tech experience and four years of Strategy experience for media clients. Are there any projects folks in consulting would recommend I take on to add to build on to a resume? From the outside looking in, it seems like there is an overlap in the core competencies of a strong strategist at an agency and a consultant.

Any thoughts on the associate account strategist role for small business sales? Any ideas on TC? I am an undergraduate, graduating soon, with big tech experience and other offers on the table.

Is it normal for a Jr Strategist to be the only Strategist on a project? I’m on a small team strapped for time/resources and 8 times out of 10 in this position, most of the time without any strategic oversight (unless I express needing help/support). I pull a lot of weight and my work gets great feedback from the Account team/clients - I can’t help but think that maybe I’m being taken advantage of by being paid a Jr salary

Can anyone help me with better positioning myself as a strategist? I really want to start a strategy role but I don’t have the actual experience and I’m afraid I’m not passing the initial screening for a strategy role because of my resume.
