Opinions on pre-hire assignments? I’m in the final stages of interviewing for a senior strategist job and they’re asking that I put together a robust presentation to refresh a program. They want me to think through messaging, channels, competitive, measurement, etc. I then have to present my strategy in an hour long meeting with the hiring manager and higher ups.

Is this normal? I’ve never been asked to complete something so comprehensive for an interview process.

I’m considering a position as an account director at a large agency coming from a media director role at another. (I’ve been client facing for years) are there any hard and fast rules of client management that typically media people wouldn’t deal with DTD? Note: this is more of strategist role and they were looking for heavy media experience but this position is unique in that it will also serve as the liaison between the analytics, creative, and media agencies.

Anybody knows what to expect for deployment strategist position at Palantir?

How did all the tech/media companies decide there should be a “creative strategist” title where the job is clearly creative, not strategy?

“Strategist” = noun, person, role.

“Creative strategist” is a strategist, even if a lame sort of strategist, but not a creative.

Did they all realize how dumb “strategic creative” sounds, so they subverted grammar to make it sound better?

It’s mostly for creatives supporting media sales side.

I’m in house at a DTC company and my title is “Marketing Senior Strategist”. I’ve taken a lot of new responsibility and would like to ask for promotion... but I’m unclear on what title change to ask for. I’m a part of a small team so I don’t have any role models for this. Advice?

I have a foreign friend that is interviewing for a Creative Director role at a big Pharma Agency in NYC. Because he is from South America, I’m gonna Zoom call him to help him practice for the interviw (in English).
Since I’m a strategist, I’m not aware of what questions are asked for a Creative Director role at an interview. Can you folks help me listing the most important questions HR asks, so I can help him practice?

Have two offers and unsure which to take. Ex Big 4 and have done software startups since.

Option 1: Director role back in Big 4. Good package. Good fit with my area of expertise, focusing on tech solutions and partnering with startups. Working across all industries and clients.

Option 2: Big Tech/GAFAM (level = L6 google/e6 FB/65 Microsoft, which I’m told is Director equivalent) Even better package. Account Technology Strategist. Less client diversity but using breadth of their tech.

I hope you’re safe guys. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to join Google in Dublin a few weeks ago. I’ve received 1/3 positive feedbacks in the last interviews. Leadership and Googlyness Interv was great! The position was Account Strategist (Italian Market).
