Love everyone's input. A previous client approached me regarding a position they're hiring for, the problem is that the salary range is not as high as I am getting paid right now.
So the question is, how much of a pay cut would you take to join that company considering that you really enjoyed working with them and value their vision ? I am not in a bad spot to jump the ship but haven't been enjoying what I am doing for couple of years

How much total compensation is expected for a first year engagement manager or equivalent at MBB (assuming average performance)?

Anyone familiar with Alixpartners? I am considering a SVP level 2 role and want to make sure I am going at a level that makes sense. I am at a director level, overseeing a department currently and am only looking at Director type roles, but having been a consultant at both Booz and Accenture I know titles are all over the place.

As far as a base comp in the DC Metro, what should I expect? It appears the role is up to base $190k in NY. Is this low?

I’ve referred three clients to my firm from my personal network that has resulted just over $1M in work (not including expected add on work). For each project, I’ve made the introductions to the client, scoped the work, written the proposals, pitched (one had a closed RFP, two did not go through the RFP process and decided to work with us based on knowing me) and am currently working one project full time. Should I receive a referral bonus for these and if so how much is fair? I’ve received $0.

Is getting MBA worth it if I don’t plan on changing careers but simply want a boost in compensation? I believe firms pay MBA hires more and promote them faster despite them doing the same job I am currently doing. I would be taking out loans 100%. A total of 2 years B4 life sciences ops consulting experience with a ton of industry experience. I can survive here forever but don’t think I’m passionate enough.
