I have a recurring thought that really brings me down and I can’t seem to get past it.
Some days I feel I am pretty good at what I do (not a leadership role) but then I see leaders in my own organization that are great at what they do and I don’t believe that I could ever get to their level of competence. Then I think of all the people my age who are appear to be doing those things and wonder we what’s wrong with me.
Have any of you felt this and how have you gotten past it?

I’ve worked in sales for 12 years (8 years retail sales and management, 4 years inside tech sales and management). I’m feeling the burn and looking for something else in the tech field. I’m making $140k. I have a college degree but no marketing, engineering, or product experience. What other departments/jobs could I jump to and still keep close to my OTE? Incoming junior-level consultant wants to know what is “billable hour”.
Once in a while I see discussions around billable hours, but I don’t know how that works. After googling, it appears to me that billable hour only matters to me if my salary is paid by hours. Since I will receive a fixed annual salary, does this mean that I don’t need to worry about the concept of billable hours?
A related questions: generally speaking, is the bonus related to the hours that I worked?
