What are your thoughts on inflation based salary revisions? I see many voices stating that inflation should not be brought up in salary negotiations and I struggle to understand why. The company is revising project fees in light of inflation, why shouldn’t that trickle down to employees amid increased living costs? Please advise

How much of your gross income (base + bonus) do you save? I’ve been hovering around 30-31% since graduating college in 2020, and thinking 2023 will be the same unless bonus or raise is larger than expected. I try to save ~25% of gross salary and 100% of net bonus (so ~70% ish). Wondering how that compares to others

“Our Cap table is frozen, so we cant give you equity bonus”. Context: I recently accepted a job offer which had no long term incentive (but good pay and cash bonus). Have you heard this before or been in such situation? Google searches for this are coming blank - are there any other terms for this? They mention that i am eligible for this bonus the day it is unfrozen - was i a sucker?

Has anyone ever rejected an offer to work at MBB because of feeling like it would be too much? For me, I like working from home, being with my family after 6/7pm, etc. I just feel as if everyone I’ve talked to enjoy MBB more bc of travel, hard grinding, which obviously leads to higher comp. Is this to say it’s not meant for everyone? I wouldn’t want to be a low performer because I don’t like working 70/80 hour weeks and missing time with family and friends.

Has anyone taken a new job just based off salary? I received an offer to join but it deviates a bit from what i enjoy at my current job right now. Im feeling a bit behind in my age and want to have a higher paying job and better title, but not sure if this is the right move. Should i suck it up and try something new with higher pay or stay and grow in my current position? Any advice helps!

my offer letter says my sign on bonus will be taxed. will the same taxes as my salary apply to the bonus?
