3 YOE in mgmt consulting at big 4. What comp range should I expect for a top / mid tier tech company for a strategy role? Role requires 3-5 YOE and is a Manager level role (but doesn’t have direct reports)

What comp should I expect for KPMG Finance Transformation manager?

Total exp: 10.5 yrs
2 offers
1) TCS - Elasticsearch Developer/Data Analyst
20 lpa (18 fixed + 2 variable) plus 1 lakh as retention bonus.
2) CTS - Python Developer
22.5 lpa ( 21 fixed + 1.5 variable)

Note:- For CTS, the interview happened for python developer, however, in the offer letter they have mentioned role as manager (projects). Not sure how come!

Which one should I go for?

Would you leave a good project with guaranteed growth, good manager/leadership, good wlb for a role with a substantially (+40% of current) higher salary, uncertain wlb (60-80hr/week)

I’m being promoted to Manager this November but recent got offer from a fintech. In money term the manager base pay is 5k greater than the new role but i’m negotiating to match the offer with my Manager salary. Should I wait until promoted or move asap?
I dont want to continue working in external audit so trying to pivot to data analyst role/IA in the fintech before moving to full DA/DS position… but thinking the Manager promotion would help negotiate salary in the future.

I’m currently working at a small/medium size consultancy. Not a bad name but not a good one either. 1 YOE and just promoted.

My goal is to move to MBB or a close 2nd tier firm but I haven’t started applications yet.

I’ve been offered an assistant manager role at KPMG and not sure whether to take it. Compensation is the same.

I think KPMG is a better brand name, but might harm my chances of moving somewhere else in the short-term.

Received an offer for Manager role at Salesforce in one of their global strategy groups. During my initial conversation with the recruiter I mentioned my compensation expectations to be above $200k (current TC ~$205k) and they said they could get there. Offer came in at $160k base, 15% bonus, and $10k annual RSU for 4 years. Any advice on what parts of the offer would be most flexible (base, bonus,RSU,sign-on,other)/what a good counter would be? Would countering at $200k base be unreasonable?

For those who moved from a client serving role to an internal role in public accounting while at a fairly high level (experienced manager or senior manager), did you take a pay cut or does your pay stay flat when you transition with minimal increases in subsequent years? Also what role are you in now? I really like EY and the company. I’d like to look at moving to an internal role but I’m worried I’ve priced myself out (currently at around 140k comp in LCOL).

What’s normal for Manager or Director level position in employment contract for a notice provision (ex: if we are going to lay you off we guarantee you 3 months notice and salary)?? Received an offer for over $300k annually but there is no safety net built in if they would abruptly lay me off. Is this normally offered or negotiated at this level? Dip in base salary by around 15 percent but overall compensation up by 10 percent with Google stock. Joining in Oct so expect no appraisal in salary till Dec 2022.
